The Rio is a great place to stay all the rooms are large suites which includes a fridge which is impossible to get anywhere else. They have a really great pool with a sandy beach area and the best part is the pool is never crowded.

This weekend laundry, packing and prepping the car to have approximately 2500 miles put on it in a little over a week. I may try to squeeze in a little Fiesta time since Old Spanish Days starts today.

Although anywhere from 500 to 1000 miles of that is going to be daily driving between the hotel and the salt flats and driving on the flats themselves. Because we can't drive across the race tracks, getting from our pit to the primary timing tower less than a miles away is an almost ten mile trip. And if I want to see the cars at any one of the four start lines during my off hours it's about half that distance. Heaven help me if my kid doesn't work timing with me and I have to drive him to work at yet another location, or the same location at a different time of day. Wow, my vacation is tiring me out before I even leave for it, LOL!

I got my sort-of-son to help so he could see how to check oil and fluids and learn to check tire pressure and such.

Vacation starts in 3 days, racing starts Saturday at noon!

On Thursday good friends stayed for a night with us and we visited Red Bull's Hangar 7 and the Augustiner Bräu here in Salzburg.

On Friday, after our friends left, we were on our way to Vienna where we spent the weekend. There we met other friends and did some sightseeing.
