Yeah, I would like to see that. This weekend we are getting packed for our big trip. Seattle......Michigan...….Arkansas...….with side trips along the way. (I am really kind of nervous. ) Though we have travelled extensively the past few years; we have never taken on a single trip of this magnitude.
That's some real travelin! I'm envious. It's my dream that one day my wife and I will be able to just head out on the open road and stop at all the grand wonders and hokey little touristy places along the way. Best of all, have no real timelines or deadlines. Stop when we want and move-on when we want.
This has been our dream almost since the day we met (in 1971). Now that it is happening; I am terrified. I am sure it will be fine. I mean we did 5 weeks tent camping twice last summer. Now we have a turtle house. Has to be easier, right? I will post updates whenever we are able. (We do not have *smart* phones nor a mobile hot spot.) We have to depend on free public WiFi and relatives. We have not quite accomplished the being able to mosey without timelines or deadlines yet. We have definite dates for Seattle and Michigan and sort of for Arkansas. After we sell the house we will just take off and "go where the weather suits our clothes."
Just got back to Renton after 5 days of tent camping at Camp Pickanosee!!!!! Lots of fun with a couple dozen home-schooled kids (including 5 of our grandkids) and their parents. Swam in the lake every day. It was great; weather in Washington warm enough to swim in something other than a heated pool. Next weekend?!? Who knows?
I was up in Trout Lake this weekend. It was super hot, but it made it nice to just hang around camp with my friends and their kids.
Unfortunately, we are NOT going to Walley World. But, we are taking the whole tribe into the mountains for some cooler weather and try to do as little as possible. Eat, drink, sleep, breath....
I think we're going to the Clark County Fair this weekend if it's not too hot. It's their 150th celebration.
I honestly don't have a clue what we are doing for our three day weekend...LOL! I'm hoping for a dinner/movie combo at some point if I can find something that Steve wants to see.
I'm not sure what we're doing either. Saturday is my kid's HS Band car wash fundraiser. But, I'll tell you what I WANT to do! Um....sleep....eat and drink....maybe watch some movies. No! I know! I want to go to Hobby Lobby and pick up some paint supplies. Binge-watch some Bob Ross, pour a glass of wine, and spend a few hours painting landscapes.
We took Kricket and Jaeger swimming at Lacamas Lake a couple of times over the weekend. If I could figure out how to upload the little video of them I would...LOL!
Having a luau!! My sister's 70th birthday party was last month. There was just no possible way to get to it with all of our other plans. So, we are having a do/over. Should be a lot of fun. That is of course, if the Louisiana weather says in Louisiana.
Steve is going to Long Beach to enjoy Rod Run, and I will be staying home with our puppies (which aren't really puppies, but we call them that anyway).
Cute "puppies"! My son's band will be playing the National Anthem at the Diamondbacks/Braves game, Sunday. I'm thinking of going and staying for a few brewskis and brats.
