We will have to check that out: we love all things zombie. We should just about have time to wave as we are doing the drive in on day which is a bear.
If you enjoy zombie movies with a bit of heart...try Warm Bodies also. Yeah...I'm the weird one that loves all things Disney AND horror. I gotta' balance myself out somehow.
Oh! That was a requisite when I met Rod. Love of Disney and bad horror flicks. That's what makes "The Nightmare Before Christmas" so great.
PANICKING!!!!! Tomorrow we have and early morning competition to go to for our grandson. It is very important. Then we need to get home in time to do some last minute packing before we head to a Halloween Party. We plan to leave there a bit early so we can pack the cooler and be on our way to Washington Sunday morning. Pixie Dust please.
Going to McMinnville to watch the new Halloween movie with my best friend, Tawnia and her son Chance. I'm so excited!!!
High school football game last night (Playoff game #1--We won!). Saturday, my son has a marching band competition. I may see what I scrounge up out of my garage to sell on ebay or donate to Goodwill. Although, I should just leave the door open over night in hopes that someone cleans it all out for me! Sunday mornings my dad and I have breakfast together. Then, we'll hopefully relax, drink some iced tea, and watch the ol' boob-tube.
Not much. Today my 14yo grandson had an "arrow tag" party. We are home with the youngest playing video games etc. The teenagers will be invading for ice cream and cake in about a half and hour I have a feeling tomorrow we will all be tired and just lie around.
Stuffing my face with turkey and potatoes and gravy and stuffing and Watergate salad and pie and whipped cream and wine and all that good Thanksgiving stuff. Followed by 3 days of sandwiches and such made with above menu.
Thanksgiving with my cousin's family, work on Friday, carpet being cleaned on Saturday, and hopefully a restful day after church on Sunday. I hope all of my LP friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
This weekend is the Dickens Christmas Festival at the International Printing Museum. It's also the day when I deliver the display case I've spent a good chunk of the past 2-3 weeks building.
Oh! We have a wonderful Dicken's Festival in San Francisco. We have not been for several years though. The last time was super crowded and they keep raising the price. We are starting out with a brunch with friends tomorrow morning. Then my daughter and granddaughter are coming over for some traditional Christmas baking. The rest of the weekend should be spent cleaning and decorating.
Doing pretty well at making the place look "a lot like Christmas" I am glad Thanksgiving was early giving us a longer-than-usual Christmas season. This weekend we hope to make and paint some ornaments. A tradition since the early '70's.
My boys (Steve and Jaeger) are going to Long Beach for a whole week, and leaving us girls (myself and Kricket) to fend for ourselves. That means I'm having a lunch with a friend on Saturday at Kennedy School, taking Kricket to Home Depot to get Steve's last Christmas present, and drinking a bunch of wine while I watch movies and play some video games. Bring on the girl time and naps!!!
I'll most likely be doing some wine drinking too. Saturday evening is a company Christmas party....Can't get through that sober. Then, I need to get to watching some Christmas movies! I am WAY behind.
Multiple versions of "A Christmas Carol" Egg Nog with some rum. All started out with a *drinking skeptically* party with friends at Red Robin.
White elephant gift exchange with my parents and cousin's family. Work on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day with the ones I love the most. Wishing my LP family nothing but peace, love, happiness, and a wonderful Christmas to you all.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! We will probably be busy with last minute details this weekend. Unfortunately, my wife works in a hospital and is on-call for Christmas Eve and Christmas. So, it's going to be a bit of a gloomy holiday.
In addition to my usual docent shift at the Museum, I've got the final (Advent IV) batch of Christmas lights to put up, along with baking the final three batches of cookies (a double batch of snickerdoodle biscotti, a double batch of cashew butter, and a single batch of snickerdoodle biscotti), and wrapping 22 CDs, signing a bunch of cards (some of which need to be mailed), and obtaining and wrapping a bunch of gift cards. Remember: always think liturgically. Liturgically speaking, it's still Christmas until it's Epiphany, and so as long as it arrives by 12th Night, it's not late.
