The park was heaving, we were issued with front of line passes for a few attractions when we checked in. We had a buffet lunch and hopped the monorail to the park (one every 2 minutes - take that Disney).

We enjoyed looking around the park, enjoyed their musical comedy stage show and then got in position for the fireworks. While we waited, there were 5 light and fire jugglers and we danced to keep warm.

The announcer from the X Factor counted us down and the fireworks were the best I have ever seen. Better than Disney, better than international competitions, better than the Olympics or the millennium. They were truly awesome. I cried, I laughed, and I screamed. The kids were in awe. Music included dance, rave, the 1812 overture, flight of the humble bee, den leopard, queen, van halen, aerosmith, the cast of glee, and it finished with in the hall of the mountain king from peer gynt (Alton towers theme) there were lasers and lights all through the castle ( a real one). And despite 20k people being there, we stopped for a hot dog, did a little shopping, and then only queued for 15 minutes for the monorail (every 2 minutes).

When we got back to the hotel, the kids enjoyed the entertainment while I ordered our cocktails and here we are!

They were awesome ,beating the London new years, Beijing Olympics and Disney shows imho.

Dave, that sounds like a lot of fun to go to. I wish exhibits of that caliber showed up here every now and then.

I will be attending a Remembrance Day ceremony with my Brownies tomorrow, then going to a little welcome get together for the baby at my old employers place. Other than that I am not sure yet. Hopefully the sun will shine =)
