Notice how even shade structures and ODV's are being built on the south end fo the bay. Here is a little info. Fantasmic has an average viewing capacity of 10,000 people. This includes every possible corner around the rivers of america, the tiered viewing areas and the priority seatings. WOC will have a viewing area for 9,000 guests. So even when Luminaria premiered that show was viewable in all side of the bay. The viewing area was actually pretty much in tune with Fantasmic. I know that many people argued that the bay had limited viewing space compared to Fantasmic but that was innacurate. The capacity in DHS for Fantasmic is even much smaller. So expect to see more than one showing for WOC

Originally Posted By bean yes, the idea was to have the area fit 12,000 but due to some issues it was reduced to 10,000. I can't remember DHS guest viewing area including standing room but i believe the arena is capable of letting 6,000 guests see the show there. I remember when luminaria debuted there was ahuge debate about the limited viewing area around the bay but that was never an issue. That show was visible from almost every angle of the bay. One of the issues with that show was the low projections compared with the height of the viewing areas along with the some smoke issues in a certain section north west of the bay

Something about the addition creating a "Higher" Fire Code Enforcement. The expansion creates more sophisticated legal requirements.

Cynthia Harriss was there, and even from across the bay you could see her in a stunning pantsuit blabbering on and touching on all of her corporate approved talking points with great emotion and loving care in her voice. She mentioned a group of charity kids that were there, and who had created the Politically Correct and Corporate Approved "Holiday Cards" to be used in this new Holiday show that just happened to be offered during the weeks surrounding Christmas when Americans just happened to celebrate a holiday. Cynthia finally sat down, the show began, and the fireworks began to ignite. And that's when we noticed that the wind that early winter evening was blowing in from the beach, as it usually does that time of year sans Santa Ana Wind conditions. And all of the smoke from the show began to slowly drift right smack dab into the middle of the amphitheater. By the time the Finale' happened, you couldn't even see the other side of the lagoon due to all of the smoke. And in the few minutes after the show a particularly dense smoke cloud choked the amphitheater seating with dense cloud cover. I can only imagine how horrible Cynthia's pantsuit must have smelled after being smoked out like that. Amazingly, Luminaria never returned for a second season. I think I only bothered to see it one more time after that Grand Debut Night with Cynthia in the pantsuit kicking things off. And now, 7 years later, whenever I see Hillary Clinton on TV giving a speech in one of her sexless, boxy pantsuits, I think of Cynthia and wonder where she might be now? Merry Christmas Cynthia!
