Now we're watering the sod by hand twice a day, (yippee), and planning what shrubs and flowers to put in the beds. So if any of you feels a sudden, overwhelming urge to do a bunch of hard, physical labor, by all means feel free to come on over and plant some shrubs. Originally Posted By FaMulan LPFan22, The link I posted is to the company that owns the Faire. They may have a web coupon that will have a discount on tickets. They also have other important information like show times and vendor lists and directions to the park. There is an $8.00 parking fee as you enter the park. Also, check the entertainment sections of your local paper. If you're still in OC, see if the Register has coupons. All vendors, except food, wandering vendors and Ale (they also have non-alocholics) stands take checks and credit cards. If you see something you really like that is way out of your price range, ask for the artisan's card. Many of them are very willing to work with customers as they do want their crafts/art to have a good home. Wear sunscreen, and reapply often. Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared for a very different experience. Faire opens at 10, opening show starts at 9:30. The website has all the shows listed. Visit Rogues Reefe for naughty songs from the Poxy Boggards, Merry Wives of Windsor and Belles of Bedlam. See Her Majesty, Elizabeth I as she visits the village with Court in tow. Watch the English Country Dancers at the Maypole (that's me!), the Celtic Dancers, the Belly Dancers, the Taiko Drummers and Aztec Dancers. Try your hand at Archery, axe throws and fencing. Ride the gaint Rocking Horses. Marvel at the gorgeous noble costumes and the comical Inventors and Mongers. Mostly, when you go, have an open mind and prepare to soak it all in. Everyone's welcome.
