What's so bad about Dinorama?

    My problem is when Disney decided that tacky roadside carnival is a good theme and people just accept it as Disney quality. It isn't.

    Is it better than PP? I think so because PP isn't fully realized. As someone else mentioned earlier if Disney had taken the idea of a seaside pier and took it to the level of a Main Street USA or a New Orleans Square, I doubt people would be so put off by it. They didn't. They went half-assed and it shows.

    Tom, Somewhere back there in post 16 you made a comparision to Six Flags...Please tell me where that Six Flag park is that has gone to such incredible detail for a tacky ride setup where the state name is spelled out with license tags from cars.....I am so glad to hear though in this thread there are some people that don't go insane over this section of the park...It is fun and it crass and it makes perfect sense to me...There are so many details, like the parking lot stripes....It might not have cost Disney alot to set this area up but there was creative thought behind....Dino's made out of bottle caps? Yep, you can find that outside of AK if you just happen to be driving the right road sometime....People that don't get this section of the park just don't understand the true meaning of tacky....

    I enjoy both PP and Chester and Hesters. The one complaint that I have about both is the prizes at the games. Now I don't play those games at amusement parks but I might if they had Disney prizes for the games, but they don't and that makes no sense to me.

It reminds me of the family roadtrips of my childhood. I don't know too many people who still take the family driving vacation anymore. We fly everywhere now unless it's within a 10 hour drive. I told my husband that I wanted to plan a roadtrip and he looked at me like I was insane. (not a roadtrip family) Someday, I'm going to force my family into the car and hit the road.

    It was probably the best vacation we've ever taken (which is why I'm RoadTrip).
