It's amazing what people take for granted today, my parent's where happy they had AC in the T&C, now the 13 yr old complains in my car cuz the 2 rear seat vents aren't controllable like the van or suv lol.

Remember when you used to burn your hands on the metal buckles? Remember sliding on the sticky vinyl bench? The thick velour seats, woodgrain and chrome sides heh.

My dad's restoring an old car now heh, the 13 yr old think's its ugly. I'd tell you what it is, but since it's at the frame stage right now and dad won't tell heh.

If we're supposed to be on the boards can't I get a "Watch the Tramcar, Please!" every minute or so.

Along with post 63, way back when, it was Dad, Mom, Sister, Me and a German Shepherd dog traveling to Florida in a 1964 Caddy. With about a month's worth of big, hard-sided luggage to stay at our grandparents.

I never have been to route 66 or any of those really cool Googie places that are almost gone now, so I appreciate it for what it is and what it's supposed to be. We don't seem to go over there much but when the PrimevilWhirl first opened we had a great time riding it.. I even rode it in the rain! =) I wish the DCA boardwalk area was more fun like that but I guess many people just don't like that sort of thing as they can go to Santa Cruz (again another place I haven't been) beach boardwalk almost whenever they want.. I don't go to that section of DCA nor do I like it but walking through it is nice and the theming is ok (and sort of reminds me of Indiana Beach when I was a kid.. not an excitiing place but somewhat nostalgic).

Chester & Hester's section is fun and neat and much better themed. I love AK though and think that when it comes to theming and fun that they have it pretty good. BGT is definitely more EXCITING with the rides (montu kumba gwazi!) but AK has it all over them with theming, guest service and environmentality & animal interaction. Also you don't seem to get attacked by nearly as many divebombing attack seagulls as you do at BGT. =P
