I think Boardwalk pulls off the theme wonderfully. It provides kind of a 'Best of Boardwalk' interpretation without the really tacky stuff. By the way... there are carny games at the Boardwalk... do you people actually go to a resort before commenting on it? ;-)

The Mouse wants to keep his guests on WDW property. I would also guess that Pleasure Island came into being to put some nails into Church Street Station's coffin. Why take a cab at night to somewhere in Orlando when you can get on a hotel bus and roll on over to Mickey's Bar and Grill? Heck there's even mini-golf to keep guests off of International Drive. Y'know, the only big thing I can think of that is missing at WDW is a dolphin show. How soon til a Finding Nemo dolphin show appears at Animal Kingdom?

It's a wonder how any attraction outside of WDW property stays in bizness. Sea World is a nice day trip, plus since Anheuser-Busch took over, the free beer samples make the fish a lot more interesting, and colorful!
