Bearded ladies? Eh... not so much.

work might be barely starting at the park but there has been lots of work behind the scene. You need to remember that first of all everything has to be designed and planned. After that things need to be looked over and see what would work and what would not. Budgets needed to be set, bids opened for construction crews. Even then timelines had to be set so that the work can be done with little interruption as possible. Permits need to be adquired.
also do not forget that these projects also require lots of props, materials and other things that need ot be built and many of them have already begun away from the publics view.

Well, they were working for at least a year before the budget was OK’d, so they are at least to that budget being set point. The issue of props and materials is only an issue for the major attractions. Most of the façade work (entrance, etc) is just fairly straightforward architectural design and construction. That should be able to be initiates as soon as scheduling is worked out.

Since they usually do major attraction and infrastructure projects in the winter months, avoiding holidays if they can, one would expect that there would be SOME projects started soon, if just to reassure investors and local Anaheim officials that the announced $1.2 billion investment isn’t just a bunch of hot air.

They did take the gondolas off the Sun Wheel. Now the workers need a nap.
