What's the best movie of 2005?

    And Felicity Huffman definitely deserves the Best Actress Oscar!

    Seeing everyone's lists of best movies made me realize how few I've seen this year. Robots, Batman Begins, Fantastic Four, Chicken Little, HP&GOF, and LW&W. Pretty sure that's it.

    On the other hand, I saw a lot of movies about National Parks, including a couple in IMAX.

    I wasn't excited about Charlie and the Chocolate factory, even with Johnny Depp. Violet's mom was the funniest character in it. I guess the original is just too ingrained in me. I was bored with the dentist-father story line tacked on.

    These were the only ones that stuck with me long after I'd watched them, mostly because they offered food for thought. Just about everything else I saw sort of dissolves into a noisy stew of CGI effects and remakes.
