I saw it in VA and GA when we stopped there on the road. I see it in North Florida, even. I'm sure it exists out in the west, when I finally get there (Been to AZ, but was too young to have thoughts like these..) >>We were a fledgling Nation 100-150 years ago with much to learn. We still are, but we're trying.<<< totally agreed. And there is nothing wrong with that. Also...Love the term "Fledgling Nation". I've used it in my essays several times, much to the dismay of my professors who deemed it "too flowery" for historical dissertations. AKA, I could have been a hell of a English Major.

That was just preposterous. (FTR, I didn't like that the other side came out screaming it was a lie, either...thought it was one. They could have done that with some cooth. ) And I know this might be petty...but...I just don't like her demeanor. While folksy charm might win some people over...if you want to look professional, that's not how you do it. That has nothing on her policies, however.

I think she could have worded it differently while gandering the same amount of support. >> (FTR, I didn't like that the other side came out screaming it was a lie, either...thought it was one. Everybody still addressed her as Sarah when she was Governor. That is part of her charm to many. It's just how she was at that time. Being in the spotlight an achieving fame seems to change some people over time. Let's see what she's like say in 2 years. It's just hard for a redneck like me to resist a woman that hunts, and fishes.

Is he reshaping history or using an over the top statment to make a satirical point. He is a entertainer. a commentator. His opinions are just that, opinions. Tell me when he makes a statment about history that is an outright lie.

I prefer my politicians to have a professional air about them, even if they are running for office in a place that prefers something different. Of course, I would expect them to adapt to that, but not in the extreme case as Sarah Palin did. A part of me wonders how much of that is "show".

However, I do believe genuine, as in Ms. Sarah's case, have liberties taken with it. She's not alone, in that, I might add. >>>Your political differences with her are showing EE. Would you want someone questioning your character because they subscribed to a different philosophy than you do?<<< How so? I just don't like her personality. I don't think that has to do with her politics, it simply has to do how she conducts her self, and how much of that persona is actually her, or her attempting to aline herself with her voting base. That's not her politics itself, right?
