But the fans get that from Disney PR ... everytime anything gets opened, closed, added or changed at DL (or WDW etc ...) that line gets dredged up. I'm sure by now even Walt is tired of hearing it!

That is usually a good thing no matter the subject, although it gets annoying when I see 'kid geeks' studying the parks down to their tiniest detail. I kinda think the whole fun aspect gets tossed out the window in order to find some tiny detail hidden off somewhere. <<And the internet has just made it all the worser. Jab. Hide. Jab. Hide. Jab. Hide.>> I think the Internet has created and helped perpetuate some unhealthy lifestyles and behaviors. It's why I think everyone should take a break from this site and any other online site (Disney or not) they digest regularly. I have seen the Internet totally warp peoples' perspectives and self-images. People who have no social skills whatsoever in the real world and would never even approach a celebrity Imagineer like Joe Rohde (who would likely hate that I called him that) use the Internet to allow their egos to grow or be fed based upon posting words (or pictures) and engaging in discussions. Of course, this isn't really a pet peeve with the Disney 'fans' so much as it is the whole world in this My Space, FaceBook, era ... people can use the WWW to mask all their social phobias and issues. But now I've really digressed ... Anyway, my next peeve: 'fans' who have bad experiences at parks, restaurants and resorts but won't complain because 'it's Disney.'

And some comments to the contrary, I don't think that the Spirit ever does that.

Never had been to Paris, but there it was. And I spent half a day at Disneyland Paris. I can pretty much neatly divide my circle of friends into two groups. One group says, "You had just one weekend in Paris and you went to Disneyland?" And the other group says, "You had a weekend in Paris and only spent half a day at Disneyland?"

As much as I enjoy Disney's American parks, the only way I'd spend time at Disney overseas is if I was living in Paris, Tokyo or Hong Kong for an extended period of time. Or if I had the luxury of travelling overseas regularly, then I'm sure I'd try out Disney's foreign offerings. There's just something about going overseas to surround oneself in American culture that disturbs me. It's like going to Moscow and eating at McDonald's. I'm probably in the minority here, but that's how I see it. Then again I'm a person who would spend all day at the National Gallery, so I'm probably not the typical Disney consumer.

To me, 'Carousel of Progress' was better than 'America Sings' 'CircleVision 360' was better than 'Buzz Lightyear' ride. 'PeopleMover' was better than 'Rocket Rods' 'Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room' is better than 'Under New Management.' 'Swiss Family Treehouse' is better than 'Tarzan's Treehouse.' 'Mission to Mars' is better than 'Redd Rockett's Pizza Port.' 'Tomorrowland Theater' was better than 'Homey, I Shrunk the Audience.' 'Country Bear Jamboree' was better than 'The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.' 'Seasons of the Vine' is better than a 'DCA Preview Center.' Now, I've not actually seen the DCA Preview Center, but I can safely say that I like 'Seasons of the Vine' better.

The 'older' stores [I'm thinking of the ones in New Orleans Square in particualr] had interesting things to look at and buy.
