You should be proud of this little twit for taking a political stance even if it is different from yours. Are the relatives that said not very nice things about McCain while praising Obama around their children not very nice people? Are the people disagreeing with my feelings on something not very nice? When does the madness end, so we can all get back to just being Americans. We are all in the same sinking boat together, and if we all don't bail together, and row together we will remain dead in the water until we finally sink! I do agree that no sitting President should be given a speaking part. That could lead to some very unpleasant things happening at a Disney Park. By the way do you remember the disgusting political comment that was made over on WDWmagic, and who made it. That thing got raked over the coals by the moderator so bad I can't figure it all out. I came in to late, and missed all the fun.

Many people also died for the freedom of speech. I think I know a little about Nikki's character. I bet when the situation calls for it she encourages her students to become invoved in the whole Democratic process. You wouldn't work in the type of enviroment that Nikki teaches in if you didn't believe in those things. That still doesn't mean you can't have a political discussion with an adult that expresses her view point. A view point I might add that was not bias politically. I love this Country. The American people have spoken, I accept that fact. It doesn't make me love my Country any less or a desire to live else where. I am also a realist, and know partisan politics will continue as usual.

Is the assertion here that neither candidate is strong, or that no one person can make a difference? If the former, I can kind of live with that. If the second, I hope people that hold this view are wrong. Otherwise why should any of us bother?

Trust me, they need all the business they can get these days! <<Please explain why this 10 year old BLONDE little girl is a twit.>> Honestly, it's because of the vibe she gave off. (You know how in life sometimes you just have to be there?) Well, what I was getting was something that was very ugly. And it scares me that people pass on hatreds and prejudices to children, sometimes overtly, sometimes in ways they don't even realize. But she was a twit! <<Are the little children seen at Obama rallys all little twits reguardless of their hair color?. A unbias political person like yourself shouldn't take such offense.>> Who ever said I was an unbiased spirit? We all have biases ... especially when it comes to politics. Hopefully, that is changing. <<You should be proud of this little twit for taking a political stance even if it is different from yours.>> Well, to be blunt I took her reaction to be one of racism. Could I be wrong? Yeah, but I don't think so. I'm a pretty good reader of people. <<Are the relatives that said not very nice things about McCain while praising Obama around their children not very nice people? I feel a whole lot more hopeful today than I did 24 hours ago. I think a major fundamental shift happened last night. I also think we regained a whole lot of respect around the world and that's very important. <<I do agree that no sitting President should be given a speaking part. That could lead to some very unpleasant things happening at a Disney Park.>> C'mon, MPierce, you and I both know that there have likely been some very ugly incidents at HoP over the past two presidencies (and especially the past 2-3 years). I would bet my life savings (or what's left) that there have been fistfights in HoP on more than one occassion. <<By the way do you remember the disgusting political comment that was made over on WDWmagic, and who made it. That thing got raked over the coals by the moderator so bad I can't figure it all out. I came in to late, and missed all the fun.>> It was dumb. It was basically someone using the 'F' word with dots between the letters. It wasn't even in any real putdown context. Likely a dumb kid. But who knows? Maybe it was Sarah Palin or Hillary?

Apparently in a country founded on things like free speech and the ability to criticize our leaders in public it has become very uncool to do just that (no matter what views you espouse) ... people seem to be afraid to speak out (although to be fair there may be language in the Patriot Act that took our right away) and when you talk politics (even at dinner with your family) you do get dirty looks. That 'tude needs to change regardless on who you voted for yesterday and what you political leanings are!

And how is that 'racism'? ---- I'd love to hear your argument if you have one.

I'm certainly glad that you're not trying to pass any hatreds or prejudices on yourself. That would be mighty embarassing... "although to be fair there may be language in the Patriot Act that took our right away" Not to turn this into a World Events thread, but that's simply not true, and you know it. I'm really glad that you're above spreading misinformation.

He judges my professionalism based on a message board and still feels comfortable calling himself a professional. As such, I won't even bother to justify his cheap comment to me with a response. However, it's impossible for one man (or woman) to make a sweeping change of government in the US. The system of checks and balances was set up to keep one individual from gaining such power. To allow any one person to have such power would be akin to setting up a dictatorship. The way some of you have fallen in love with the man, however, I wouldn't be surprised if any of you were willing to toss out the Constitution and give him carte blanche. Now, Obama and the new Democratic majority in Congress could well make some sweeping changes TOGETHER, but Obama cannot do it on his own. The Constitution won't allow it.

I don't agree with any attacks on your professionism to the same extent that I don't agree with the attacks on people's choice in political candidates.
