I mean, its getting a little ridiculous now. I couldnt read all of them because its gotten too bitter too quickly.

Look, I know its still early, people are still feeling bitter and raw over the pick, it happens to one side or another every four years, I get that. But, I am sorry I even posted this now lol. I wasnt trying to start a fight over Bush, Hitler, Obama shreding the Constitution and everything else, I just wanted an update answer on an attraction.

But, yes, Obama will be installed next year. He WILL have a speaking role and it will reopen July 4th.

Got my answer, thank you, now will leave you guys to duke it out until whoever is bleeding less at the end wins. Good luck!

I can imagine something like Lincoln going on about the slaves being freed and so on and maybe one day even reaching the highest political office in the land.

Suddenly a light would shine onto a spot in the centre of the room and Obama would rise, in silhouette from the floor.

Lincoln looks on in wonder and Obama looks over at him and does the whole Kojak "Who loves ya baby" thing.

Suddenly an 80's beat starts and all the other presidents start break dancing.

    That would be frikkin AWESOME!!!!

don't know why - glutton for punishment I guess - but the big topic now over - I can move back to WDW.
See I am a moderate - I vote split party all the time - see I have this concept that neither party gives a rats behind about me, or you or anyone else in particular -- which is why Congress would allow 10 million jobs to be off shored in thelast 8 years - as each of them are in the pockets of the businesses doing this. There is corruptness on both sides of the aisle.
See,I'm not popular in W/E as I do not see Obama - as the guiding light savior from above that many there do. I see him as a politician - in my home state - who is part of the Democratic party herewho - much like now nationally - completely controls the state of Illinois. A state they have on the verge of bankruptcy - a state that can't pass a budget when the only people fighting over who gets what are in the same party. They close county hospitals while passing pay raises for all state politicians. A group that wails on each other every single day in the press here- controlled by the city of Chicago which hasn't had a GOP mayor since Capone was in the city. No one to blame but themselves for an awful public school system - the highest sales tax in the country (10.5%) - sky high property taxes that would stun you - and a level of patrgonage corruption that is the envy of every politician.

Now that being said, Barack is a cut above the level of most politicians here - and I find him intelligent and engaging. However my concern stems from the fact he 'owes' some of the worst politicians here for helping him thru. The worst of which is state senate president Emil Jones - called Obama's Godfather here. Mayor Daley's brother already in line for Commerce Secretary - jesse jackson jr likely replacement for Obama's seat ( although lots in infighting in the party over that right now) - and Jr's wife would replace him.

If Obama can remain above dragging any of the worst of his party here into national jobs he has a chance. If he does trust me you will be wondering what rocksome of these people crawled from under. Rahm Emmanuel is a very good choice for heading his team. A lot of GOP won't like him - but he is good at what he does - and for a guy who can run a winning election- he is kind of the anti politician - he speaks his mind period- no BS and I like that, and he knows exactly who the issues are in Illinois/Chicago politics and isn't afraid to say so.

Now like all but the true diehards I am glad to see the W era come to an end, but I fear people have set up unrealistic expectations for Obama that no one would be able to meet. I get the historical significance of his election and hope this is a step in moving the country towards the middle poltically - not far left and not far right.I wish him well - as it affects all of us on how he does. If he accomplishes more than I think he will in the next 4 years, without taxing the middle class into oblivion, then I would be more than happy to support him for 4 more.

I would love that, ours is 17.5% and in mainland Europe it runs between 18-19%, then again I prefer our public services ;-)

As for the rest of this thread what can you say. The election is over and we have a new Commander-in-Cheif. I was raised that you respect the office of the President regardless who occupies it.

No one ever said you have to blindly agree with everything. But I do firmly believe that this country was formed for the right reasons even if it took a very long time to make it "right" for most of it's citizens.

Unfortunately there will always be issues even if we wish it otherwise. humans are fallible. I will continue to make my voice heard when I believe it has a purpose.

I think the change this country really needs comes from inside each of us. We ALL need to return to taking responsiblity for our own actions/life.

This IS a great country. It's not the politicians in Washington that make it so it is you & me, the citizens. No not everyone has redeeming qualities but many if not most do.

I'm not saying we should all hug and sing Cum-ba-ya. I'm talking about respect for the very foundation of our constitution. The fact that we can have this discussion at all is a cherished liberty.

Anyway I'm done & to answer those nagging questions- NO I am not sitting here wrapped in a flag with the National Anthem playing. My flag outfit is @ the cleaners and my CD player is broken. ;)

They might need to make some modifications for height and weight, but that still seems easier than building a whole new one. It's also kind of funny to think about the Presidents whose views and supporters are so different being the exact same bones. <<

I thought they sometimes recycled AA's from other attractions.

If I may make a couple of suggestions on how to make HoP relevent to todays Audiences.

    1. Hop isn't very Disney. To rectify the situation I believe they should seemlessly add 48 popular Disney characters.

    2. The theater setting is perfect for some of those great 4-D effects so how about maybe Lincoln sneezes and they spray you in the face.

    3. 3-Duh? Why isn't the first 10 mins in 3-D? They could have PIXAR do a CGI patriotic thing with Buzz Lightyear.

    4. They should end the show with a Stitch AA pulling a plug out of the wall and all the AAs wind down and flop over as the lights slowly dim. An attraction host gets the "emergency lights" on and empties the theater.

Why do I get the feeling some Disney Exec. is sitting around somewhere reading that, and thinking "Say that's a great Idea. I think I'll toss it up in the air, and see if it flys at the next meeting". :)
