I did not attend last visit for exactly that reason.>> Well, I guess ALL presendencies are controversial to a degree. Some just waaaay more than others . I cant think of a single President in my life time that had a scandal free presidency...and I was born when they booted scandal ridden Nixon out on his butt lol. And also I seen both Clinton and Bush speak at HOP, both times i was there people just listened, so I guess I was just lucky when I went. I admit, I dont get it, its the President of the United States, seems like there should just be respect, at least to the robots lol. But I'm sure if Obama is placed and speaks and there are enough rednecks and yokels howling down the guy everyday, they will just change it back to the way it is now, no biggie.

It was a bad idea to begin with and just because it's been done for two presidents doesn't mean it should continue. Of course, Disney was in for a world of bad publicity if they suddenly decided to not let the first African-American President speak after letting the last two rednecks do so. Suddenly, I'm in the mood for some BBQ! Oh wait, wrong thread.

The man is leaving with a 26% approval rating, he is, by all accounts, on both sides, hated. I think its unfair to say that EVERY President after him will suffer the same amount of hatred. Who knows, but at least give it a chance. If its get bad and the rednecks hate Obama or the girls throw themselves at him lol, then just have him stop speaking again, no biggie. And it sounds like thats what they are doing. But I think with Clinton and certainly Bush, people were responding to mainly to direct scandals or policies in their tenures first and foremost. At least give Obama time to have sex with an intern or invade a soverign country first before the plug is pulled ;D.

I never heard of these issues until a few weeks ago when I posted this. Again though, I think Disneys decision to have Obama speak is to see if how people would at least take to him first and I guess when you think about it, he would be the first President to not EVER speak since the attraction opened and that might rub people the wrong way as well since all the others at least spoke before him, I dont know. I know I'm sounding like a broken record now lol, but just give it a chance, I dont what else could be said. Maybe Disney should create secret service robots on the side of each stage and have them reach for their guns as a threat when someone gets out of line ;D.

For CLinton and Bush I saw both sides of the fence- usually heckling each other during the show- that's what I want to avoid.

I agree all p[residents deserve at the very least respect enough not to go off on an animatronics show- but that's just not how the country is wired at present - sad to say

They don't even realize how childish they appear.

I was under impression this was the bigger issue, but if I'm wrong, sorry lol. Hope this helps kids ;D.
