So, I notice that Travelocity has a special deal right now where you can buy a 4 day park hopper for the same price as a 3 day. Awesome deal, right? I call my dad and let him know about it, and sure enough, they haven't bought their passes yet. Here's his response..."I think a 3 day pass will be enough..." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!????!?? I give up, the half-wits win.

It was so hot...Yahoo weather channel had listed the weather for the whole trip to be 82-85 but when we got there it was 98+ the whole time....We got the dream passes twice and won dream ears - which were then stolen along with my DS11 jedi training backpack out of the stroller (ears were in the bag)during the Aladdin Show... Hope tink and mickeynewe are having as much fun as I did!!

It was definitely different than holiday season. Nothing can beat the holidays at Disneyland! Although, I was quite irritated at you while in the park! Knowing your tongue-lashing would never stop if I actually wore my beloved Converse into Club 33 -- I wore a nice pair of dress boots-- for 7 hours in the park! My poor puppies were barking the rest of the trip! I had to hobble home that night. And THEN, when I went to put on my tennis shoes the very next day they couldn't even bark, but merely whined in suffering. This was only our 2nd day into the trip!! Then, I remembered our dear Laughing Place --- the place that saves all of us from ourselves while at Disneyland. Yes, there on Main Street, I bought my Disney crocs (pink -- had no black in my size) and my feet said, "awwwwww" the rest of the trip. The crocs saved our trip, as well as my feet, so if anyone ever wants to know --- I give them my highest praise! Club 33 was awesome. We had a GREAT dinner and both my husband and daughter had a great birthday dinner. You could see Fantasmic from the balcony but you had to kind of crouch down a bit. Either way, it was just great to listen to the music. We sat through both performances at dinner since we had the last seating. Although I must say, if I had a choice to do it again, I like the more laid-back atmosphere of lunch-- but maybe that has to do with being able to wear my converse.... We had a great last day. We cruised around the park and then that night we met up with Tinkerbell. We had fun gabbing away and going on the rides. Although, I think we chatted our way through most of them! We also took a happy smiling pic just for you Mollysmom, so if you email me I'll send it to you. My email is in my profile. Well, I'm glad you missed me sooooo much (don't you like the way I presume that?) and couldn't wait for me to get home! Now, let the comments fly --- I know you've been holding on to them for several days now.......

Although, I can't believe someone stole from you at Disneyland--- that is totally uncouth. They should be drawn and quartered! Okay, maybe not literally -- but definitely unleash Mollysmom on them! Speaking of drawn and quartered, did anyone check out the Jack Sparrow on Tom Sawyer's Island? He was rather dashing!

We have been told time and time again that if you want to get dreamed, you must be in the park early. If you lazed in bed all morning, that's your fault. Back to villains... I for one, am happy to hear about the heat. I hope it holds up for our trip. We've had temps in the 90's for the last 2 months, so we're used to it. For me, the hotter the better. Yes, it's true...even with a day free, he thinks 3 is enough. I tried to explain that 3 is NOT adequate, and as long as they were giving you a free day---take it. I reminded him that they have no plans for sunday, nor tuesday and thursday when they get back from Universal and the Zoo, and the extra day would be a chance to pop over to the park for a few hours...or for the whole day sunday. I also got a bit cranky, and reminded him that he had 6 other people traveling along with him, and perhaps he should not be deciding for them how many days were sufficient. If it comes down to it and we have kids that are upset, I will fork over the $60 for each of the two girls to come to the park with us for an extra day, but those other crazies are on their own. They can sit by the hotel pool and be bored to tears. I gotta jet for an hour or so, but I'll be back...I haven't even started on mickeynewe yet.

Personally, I think she is just making up for having to be nice to me the day of departure, but no one MADE her PROMISE to be nice.

I never made fun about your Converse sneakers; I never said not to wear them. That was the day I was being nice. I DO recall saying that Crocs are ugly, and I stand by that statement. So, missy, you wasted a whole day being irritated at me for NOTHING. You should have been mad at your own sorry self. Besides, since when did you ever listen to me anyway??? Nice try. So, what did you eat at Club 33? Being that I haven't yet conned some nice old lady into getting ME into the Club, I will have to be happy with the Bayou for DH's birthday lunch. You didn't mention the Magic Club. Did you skip that? I will assume that you did, because you promised me a tummy tuck and a boob job if you went, and it is quite obvious that neither has magically occurred in your absence. DH can unhappily confirm that as well. I am so glad you got to meet up with Tink, and I will surely PM you for the picture. I'm NOT fallin' for a picture of Cindy Crawford and Christy Brinkley, either. Any treasures at the Tinkerbell Shop that I need to take out a bank loan for? I recall you saying that your DD is a tink fan, and that she likes that shop. Mine is already asking me how much money I'm gonna give her. I guess I owe her...I am allergic to bees, and got stung 5 times last weekend. I must have been omitting a sweet scent. Could have been the sweet scent of about 20 jello shooters. Anyway, I am now at the stage where I am itching like crazy, and just want to chop the itchy parts off. There is a particularly icthy spot on the bottom of my foot, and DD scratched it for a solid hour last night. Even I know that's gotta be worth a bundle. We were laying on the bed watching American Inventor while she was scratching, and she goes, "mom, your feet stink." I said, "that's impossible, I just took a bath." She takes a sniff and says, "no, it's not you, it's George." She still stayed there scratching for me...gotta love a kid who's sucking up for money. I am glad that you are home.

You said you work for Ford - I would check to see if your company is actually a member - I have heard some of the bigger corps are. I agree crocs are ugly - but they sure feel good!!
Originally Posted By mickeynewe << Shut up....>> Okay, you are all witness to the abuse I must suffer. *sigh* Now if I am honest I will state that I didn't ACTUALLY blame you that day --- it was more of how I might be able to get your goat. Obviously, you didn't fall for it and that fell flat. And as ugly as Crocs may be --- my feet thanked me the entire time. Although I really do wish they weren't "pink". I feel like a 40 year old who is pretending to be 6 and it isn't working well. LOL For dinner I had Chauteaubriand. It was excellent. Although, again --- I would choose the casualness of daytime between the option of dinner or lunch. This part I'm not going to joke about because we felt horrible. Our friend actually made dinner reservations for 4 and was planning on surprising us for dinner, which would have been excellent! We were really looking forward to meeting with her this weekend. I called her on Sunday to see if we could get together and found out that she had lost a dear friend. We all felt horrible for her. We told her she would be in our thoughts and prayers and we all agreed we would love to meet up on our next trip. We did go to Santa Monica on Saturday to Magicopolis. It was fun. It was different from what I expected, but entertaining. I never thought we would survive the trip to and fro tho --- those L.A. drivers are crazy! I thought the Bay Area was bad, but we've got nothing on them when it comes to driving! ROTFL -- well you got the blonde and brunette part right, although I am definitely no Cindy Crawford! My daughter was actually really good about souvenirs. She seemed to favor the Bazaar shop this time. She bought a cute Loungefly jacket and that was it. Other than that she picked out a few things for her friends; a cute sculpture from the Crystal shop for her best friend, Marie (from the Aristocrats) for her boss because it really reminded her of something she would like, Mickey ears for her friend, and suckers for the rest of her peers down at the community center. Other than suffering from the stings, did you suffer any ill effects from the Jello? As much as I love to torment you, I don't want you to be sick so I am hoping that aspect went well. Now as for the itching --- hehehe, I'll feel about as sorry for your "itches" as you do my feet! LOL If she rubbed YOUR feet for a hour --- give that girl a c-note, that child deserves it! Thanks, I'm glad to be back!

Our dealership is kind of a big deal with Ford, and our owner is on several Ford doo-dahs. The best part, is that I've been here 15 years, and the owner digs me...but what's not to dig? I think you're correct about the jello, and will give straight shots a try this weekend. The service department is having their party, and since DH is the assistant parts manager, he got invited. Since DH is stuck with me, I get to go, too. Around here, we don't have a party without jello shooters.

No, I suffered no ill effects from the jello shots, or any of the other things I imbibed last weekend. At least, not that I remember. And not that anyone has told me. And no pictures have turned up on the internet yet. Speaking of ugly crocs...our boss' neighbor wears them, and his wife HATES them and only lets him wear them at home. So, last weekend for our party, he comes over in bright yellow ones. Oh my God, they were nasty. He said he bought that color on purpose just to irritate her. I suppose compared to that, your pink ones aren't that awful. I am so sorry to hear about your friend's loss. Hopefully you'll be able to meet up with her on your next visit down. You're not kidding about LA traffic. When it took us 3 hours to get from Universal Studios back to Anaheim, I swore I'd never get back on that freeway again. Didn't tink say she was taking her lap top and would pop on here to say hi while she was gone? I think she's ditched us. At least we still have villains.......

Well to say the least I am not a little small girl like you guys and I am very concerned about any surgery, and not being able to walk on it for 6+ weeks - my DH thinks I just haven't been able to schedule it in between DL trips ... Well I should go for now and pretend to be the good mom and housewife and actually clean the house...Yes I still do need to finish unpacking from DL ;p...DS16 just finished the last load out of the Excursion and it really needs a bath - but it is way too big for me to wash - maybe DS will do it (not likely though)....

A trip to Disneyland will be your reward after staying off of it for 6 weeks. While you're laid up you can plan your next visit. All that pain ought to earn you the Grand Californian, don't ya think?
Originally Posted By gottaluvdavillains Too bad you aren't taking the train - I would pay your DD to wash my Excursion and then she would have a little extra money in DL... I have 2 teen boys and they won't wash it for dear old mom - but they will pay for the carwash, and they guy here in town is nice and doesn't charge extra for big suv's... Okay now train stuff - my mil was brought out from NE to CA for $200 so my SIL wouldn't have to pay a babysitter for the month of july...every weekend she was sent to our house so they could still have their family time...my mil is in her 70's and grew up in small town mid west - so now that my boys are older she won't talk to them - really she only talks to my hubby, her son. SO she WAS suppose to go home today. WE were sent her orginal itinerary showing the times and such - the trip was booked in march so that is when we got the itinerary. SO sometime in June my SIL gets a call from amtrak that the times have changed she will now leave at 7am instead of 10am. SIL is in a lets say foul mood and decides that even though the train station is less than 30 min from her house - we should take her driving the 30 minutes to pass her house on the way to the train station. Here's the kicker she never tells us the times have changed, and she is a control freak, yet she doesn't send us a new itinerary. SO guess who misses her train today - not only that, now she is out of all her med's and will have to reschedule her DR appts. when my hubby calls his brother this morning after checking the status of the train at 8am to find it is leaving right then - my sil slips up and says in the background did she get on the train... the not nice woman never mentioned the time change and said that we should have check the train status 2 days ago - why would we check the train status 2 days before she is to go??? Sorry to vent - but I jsut spent last weekend at DL w/this woman and spent lots of money taking her kids down early with me since she had to work and supppling them with snacks and breakfast in the room everyday, buying pizza for the room and taking them to Knotts - etc and she gave me $25 for food (she has 3 kids) and this is the way she acts after we get back - now we have to figure out how to get MIL back home on another train(bil in NE lives too far from airport to be willing to pick her up if we flew her out...) Sorry again for the vent - sorry too if not much sense - had a couple of TGIfridays mudslides - soo yummy>>>

A mere $25.00 for food for 3 kids doesn't cut it. Doing things for your family is one thing, but it seems like she took advantage of both you and MIL, and that ain't right. Every family has one, though. I sure don't blame you for being upset, and I'm guessing that MIL is, too. I would be livid. How available is MIL going to be next time SIL needs a sitter? I hope MIL gets home ok, I'll bet she's tired, and missing her place. Today will be a better day.

I heard hubby on the phone last night (before the mudslides helped be off to sleep ;P) and I believe she will be leaving this sat morning...but again it will be very early in the morning. Hubby is looking for a nice hotel/motel near the station and possible staying the night there and helping her onto the train. His band doesn't play this friday so he will at least be coherent in the morning... Glad your trip is so soon - I hope you don't hurt yourself on that pole(hahha) and miss your trip!! Did you convince the others to get the ticket with the extra free day??? When does the bus leave!!

He's limber enough, and I find him to be pretty hot...but he's pretty accident prone. No...that half-wit family of mine went with the 3 day pass!!!!! I don't get it, I will never get it...what would be ANY reason what-so-ever not to take a FREE day at DL????? The worst part, is that I told my dad about it, and he didn't even bother to tell my 2 sisters...he just went and picked up the 3 day passes for all of them. I think my sisters should have at least been consulted and allowed to make their own decision. DH says to just forget about it, and when thay all start crabbin' at each other because they can't go to the park for another day, we can point at dad and run. Part of the family leaves thursday, and they all hop on the bus friday at 5:30 a.m. I am going to do a trip report, but I will need to start it thursday, even though I don't leave until sunday.
