We should start writing letters and making phone calls.

It's interesting that it took them so long before they started redecorating the letters (other than the Block Party Bash cone, nothing was done until YOAMD 2.0), but once they started, they were seldom in their 'normal' colors. I will miss the constant change that kept them so fresh. Hopefully there will be something similar (maybe along the lines of the Disney Showcase displays) in the new entrance that is constantly changing with the seasons.

It also doesn't help that "California" has sort of a battered and bruised reputation right now.

As for something that already has been mostly knocked down in DCA, when I see this photo, I find myself kind of laughing:

It shows something that now looks even more humorously flimsy, tacky and "doofus-y" than before the dismantling process began.

It would be fitting if the remnants of the titanium sun (or hubcap) and "CALIFORNIA," among other things, were trucked over to the front yards of Michael Eisner's and Barry Braverman's homes.

Kind of looks like they are building Soarin' over the sun plaza.
