Of all I probably miss darkbeer the most...his wonderful pictures, and one year a last minute post about an early morning AP opportunity for shopping main street. It was fantastic...hardly anyone there since the post came so late and we got wonderful pictures, void of people! I have never made it to a meet either. I still only get to go once or twice a year, living in Indiana...usually a week at a time.

The kids get older, work gets more intense, and its hard to stay focused on a moving planet. It isn't just laughing place, I find myself posting much less in other places too. -Second, there just isn't that much to discuss these days, Disneyland wise. The last new ride was, what, Winnie the Pooh? Buzz? Even when a few show elements get gussied up, a refurb is still just a refurb. There's been some energy put into meet and greets, but it just isn't the same. I love DL, its probably my favorite place on earth, but a discussion needs a topic. - Third, it becomes almost a DL defense mechanism. After a DL trip, you put it all away and don't look at it, so that the next time you go you might be able to trick yourself into a little childlike wonder and surprise. In the information age a little of the magic has gone out of the world, and sometimes, the only way to bring it back is to ignore all the information.
