Starwood has the highest mini bar prices, b. they will mess up the charges. They have Standard definition feed for their 720p TV's. If you book through third party, you will probably end up with a less desirable room. Low rise, must leave sign on bed if you actually want your linens washed. Has a tendency to lose reservations when busy (to book a person at a higher rate). If you're SPG platinum however with notice you can bump another person out who hasn't checked in even if you have a "firm" reservation. (This is how reservations are "lost"). One of the better Sheratons (Along with the Universal Sheraton). Also do not eat on site, way to expensive. Internet is shoddy and slow.

Remember though Sheraton fired Matt Ouimet, seems the Sheraton vision is to spend as little as possible and charge as much as possible. Many Starwood locations in smaller cities are closing, this chain went from over 1000 properties to under 800, trying to get back up to 1000 by adding 600 new locations (to replace those property owners peaved with Starwood).

If you do book, ask if a complimentary Preferred Guest/Club upgrade is available. This will get you a complimentary bottle of water, a better maintained room, and use of bathrobe.

Many starwood hotels are feeling the crunch as business contracts switch to the competition. The Westin I used to stay at in Mi has cut their prices in a third.
