I think that Disneyland park is far and away the best U.S. Disney park. But as an overall vacation destination, WDW wins hands down. A third park, another hotel or two, a golf course and some type of water park on-site (or at least easy transit to the Pacific beaches) and Disneyland Resort could come close. But at the present time, it just can't compete with WDW as a destination resort.

No. I want you to ride Splash Mnt. at the MK and then check out that dark, dank, defaced version in Anaheim which still has bitch loading due to its poorly envisioned narrow waterways. But you are right about all of the other comparables.

Originally Posted By dresswhites what is DLR? is that disneyland railroad? because of the disneyland railroad, because the railroad at disneyland is far superior than its magic kingdom counterpart. I like disneyland much better than Walt Disney World. Perhaps it is because i grew up there and i worked there. so many memories. Heres a little comparison, though Main Streets-very similar, but disneyland's MS seems to have more trees and flowers. Also not every building is not a store. Tomorrowland-Theming is far superior at WDW and also got of love the people mover! however with the duds of Stich and possibly Mosters and the outdated space mountain, Disneyland's tomorrowland is catching up to be much better than WDWs. Adventureland: not much difference, Jungle Cruise is about as equally entertaining at each park. Treehouses are equal even though they are tied to different characters. however, the original Walt Disney Tiki Room is much better than the new management. though i dont' hate new management, i just prefer the origianl. --Frontierland is equal as well. Though two pluses at disneyland is that our saloon has a very entertaining show and WDWs is closed. Also disneyland has the immersive entrance fort that is lacking at WDW. on the side of WDW, though Big thunder is far more elaborate. ---Rivers of America-Disneyland has the far more exciting river. with the two stacked twain, the mighty Columbia and Canoes, plus fantasmic coming alive at night. for a time TSI was a tad better at Disney World, but with the changes in store at Disneylands, perhaps Disneyland will be better. ---extra land(i.e. Liberty Square/NOS/Critter Country.) I think New orleans square is far more detailed than Liberty Square. currently haunted mansion is far superior at disneyland. Also pirates of the carribean at disneyland is a masterpiece, while at walt disney world it is an after though. though the que is nicer at WDW. Critter Country is a nice little land and a better fit for splash mountain than its placement in Frontierland at WDW. as to the actual ride, i didn't notice much difference other than at WDW the frog talks. ---Toontown/Country Fair- despite disneyland version being neutered as of late is still much more immersive and entertaining than its WDW counter part. plus roger rabbit is an incrediible attraction. Now the last and most significant reason i like disneyland better than WDW's magic Kingdom-Fantasyland. Fantasyland at Disneyland is just far superior than WDW's fantastkand. from the theming to the attractions not found anywhere else. Disneyland is the only place to expereince, Mr Toad, Alice In Wonderland, Storybook through Monstro, and the Matterhorn. Casey and Pinnochio are not found at Walt disney world. Dumbo looks fare more magical and less like a fair ride with it fountains and lights at Disneyland. the facade of Disneyland's Small world can't be beat. plus the actual ride just seems more magical at disneyland. and disneyland has the holiday version. the parades come through fantasyland at disney which makes more sense than it does going through frontierland at WDW. Judging Fantasyland by itself, disneyland is far superior.

With Indy disneyland's Adventureland is slightly better. and the onlly thing i like about WDW's fantasyland is Mickey's Philharmagic. great show.

Disneyland is nice with as few as three days, but you also have time to go to other places in California if you are there for only a week. Last trip to Orlando was 2 weeks and we left not seeing everything we wanted to.
