I'll take the unbiased responces.

Oh and everyone thanks for being yourselves!!!!!

Maybe, possibly, you didn't read *between the lines* of my post. I'm certain TDL has vast knowledge of WDW. I would like to read his knowledge without the, akkkk, I don't know how to put this, for lack of better word, *Attitude*.

Please don't misunderstand me. I'm trying to say I would like to hear what TDL has to say WITHOUT the sarcasm. I'm not trying to anger anyone, please.

    This is just my opinion.

Then, as I sit here and type this, hey, if that's TDL's personality, and it is, then I'll just look over it and probably won't read his posts because they are so very predictable.

It took a good year and a half for me, I think, but I finally got to "know" TDLFAN's posts and was able to kind of understand where he's coming from and that what appears to be him bashing WDW is actually him expressing what he thinks needs to be changed/made better/restored to its former glory.

And, I am VERY glad that I've had the chance to meet and get to know this wonderful guy offline, too. He really IS a great guy once you get to know him. :)

That's *exactly* what you need to do if you have issues with me or anyone else on these boards. B**** and moaning about TDLFAN and giving him way too much credit is not going to help the situation. Besides, I have been doing this board for over 5 yrs now and you have been here since this past 9/11. The day I am asked to leave by a moderator, I will do so happily. But at least do try to give yourself a reason why you participate on this boards and do begin topics that are dear to your heart instead of ranting about others' opinions on Disney overall. God knows I have given way too much and put way too much effort into giving back to this LP community by posting my photos and offering trip reports from every Disney theme park around the World.

I respect your opinions. I disagree with many of them, but respect them none the less.

What irks me is "how" you express them. Your demeanor just tramples all over a person. You talk down at them, istead of talking with them on a mutually civil level.

Your friends here defend you. That doesn't help them either. I'm sure they recognize your sorry demeanor. They choose to defend/explain your behavior rather than tell you to clean up your act.

This will be my final response to you until you learn how to speak TO someone, as opposed to talk down at them.

And, most of the folks here are wonderful people, and don't need to be subjected to this any longer. Enjoy Disney but remember, people do have a right top be treated with respect.

Then I was planning a vacation for a week, most likely San Diego, but stupid me checks the internet, and WDW(and DVC) here we come. What I discovered was a place I wanted to spend 10 day vacations at.

From a room on the water, to monorails, boating to a park, it was glorious. Obviously I compared all the parks. I liked DL better than the MK, I like DCA better than the Studios, but nothing compared to Epcot, and while I enjoy the San Diego Zoo, AK was amazing to me.

So if I only have a day or two, then DLR is the place to go every third week. But once a year I get to plan an amazing vacation to WDW.

Now to the off topic discussion. Thank goodness we have people with different attitudes on these boards. If everyone typed in monotone with no opinions, it would sound like AP news reports. The passion that comes from many here and elsewhere is what makes people come back many times. Having said that it is sometimes helpful to be civil in these conversations.

While facts can be given(such as the fact you can get into a WDW park for only $22 per day based on a 10 day ticket, which I believe short of an AP is the cheapest ticket around of all Disney parks) most of the time it is opinion. Opinion still carries alot of weight(Disney wouldn't conduct its customer polls if it didn't), but the opinions here aren't the be all, end all.

Should Disney tailor all of its parks to one type of person, or fine tune each location to the population that visits it. If the Japanese market requires Lobster and cavier while the U.S. market wants meat and potatoes, then thats the way its going to be. The resorts make about 15% profit for Disney. Giving the U.S. Lobster and cavier isn't going to make the majority of the U.S. population happier, but it will make the Disney share holder unhappier(I'm assuming Disney knows what each market wants, I could be wrong).

Very Good point here!! I basically grew up at the MK at WDW, and for me..it was MK MK MK all along. Then went to DL in 85. OMG! loved loved DL from the start, and pushed the MK one notch down, but still loved the MK too.
Then ended up at TDL in 89...and all of a sudden my idea of Disney Magic and quality was challenged by TDL's higher standards in everything they did. Came back to the MK to find out that my MK was a bit lacking in some areas... so TDL damaged my mind and highly raised my expectations of what a true DL park should be like in every respect. Still DL help a soft spot in my heart.
Then DLP came and loved loved DLP for it's envelope pushing theming.. but even that didn't take away the postlight from TDL as the very best in my book. Many issues with DLP from the beginning soured the experience there for me.
Now, finally made it to HKDL last month and found a pleasantly beautiful park that has the potential of becoming another rare gem just like the original DL has been all the time...intimate, lovely and easy on the feet..but lacks severely in entertainment options.. so No, HKDL is not my all time fav because of being the newest... I am afraid that TDL (and now with awesome TDS in the resort) remains my very favorite to this day since 1989. Tops.
