It is a shame that Disney hasn't done more with the Muppet brand. Why not put a new version of the Muppet Show on the Disney Channel and make a new 3-D movie for the parks. As far as HISTA, just make a new movie for the parks. But I have to wonder how long 3-D movies will be cool. I know that when Beowulf opened, my local theater finally got the Silver Screens and the lens required to show the. And we are about to get a slew of 3-D right here in BFE, WV. I think adding all the spritzers and offensive smells you want, won't change the fact the genre has apexed. It is now relagated to an effect in a larger scope attraction like Spiderman and TSMM aka TSM.
So to conclude, my opinion is the only thing worth keeping at the Imagination Institute is what has always been my favorite part of the pavilion is the "hopping Water" fountian out front. I say flatten the place and let those Imagineers imagine us a new "Imagination" pavilion, from the ground up. Seriously, that theater was a showcase for the new 3-D tech Kodak was going to bring to your local cineplex. Well its here, its time to repurpose that real estate. And the ride, well its still cute for those newbies, but its far from anything to cherish. Fun while it lasted Version 3.0. I would really like to see the new breed attempt an EPCOT pavilion. The last "new" pavilion ended up being a 3 min. ride with some "interactive exhibits" aka video games at the exit. Not really a stellar example of "The Future of Space Exploration" pavilion one would usually expect in Disney's FutureWorld@EPCOT.

Why am I now envisioning Stitch and Figment in a 90 sec MMA-style interactive throwdown. Your in a ride vehicle that has the screen right on the front of the car. Then you travel through a dark warehouse on your interactive journey into "Imagination". Sort of like bolting one of those coin operated car games you sit in, to a track and send it off through a dark building.

Please no, this is my favorite building exterior in all of WDW!

You may need to update what's on the inside, but the structures themselves can go on and on and on ...

Yes, it is dated, but my entire family looks forward to it. Not that it couldn't use an update, and it may even be time to replace it--but I think the majority of casual WDW visitors find it fun and unique.
