I was just comparing WDW's version against DL's. As with Castles I think WDW's is better. If you are comparing worldwide my opinion would be DLP wins

BTW, I meant to say something sooner but I have company this weekend and the computer is being monopolized....thus the 1:00am reply.

Tell me this. Is the Yeti in Expedition Everest really broken? I have heard rumors that the thing hasn't worked for months.

Years. He hasn't worked in years. And make sure you look carefully , he's easy to miss in his disco state.

The good news is that LeeMac says they are studying ways to fix it.

    Weird.

I'd have to agree on this. We rode the JC three times at DL and had EXCELLENT skippers. Got on in Orlando and there was this middle aged woman with a thick South Carolina or something accent. My g/f at the time HATED those yokel kinds of accents and I could feel her eyes almost rolling out of her head the WHOLE trip next to me!

For me it was a combination of the yokel accent(when we are meant to be in an African river or something)and her flat obviously rehearsed delivery.

It felt like Susan Soccer Mum was taking us for a jaunt around a concrete ditch. Just ruined ANY sense of believability or realism.

So yeah, DL's JC is MUCH better!!!

As for JC, I'll just have to wait and see. I know that EPCOT goes to great lengths to recruit people from other countries to work in World Showcase. Why can't they bring in some people from Morocco to be JC skippers?

They do. And that's the problem.

I'd recommend going earlier/midday to the JC. You'll have a good chance of getting someone good there.

Maybe it's time to explore the option of instituting some kind of soundtrack. You could still have the live skippers drive but the soundtrack would be pre-recorded. Then again, a male voice would not match a female skipper..and vice-versa. They could have two versions: a male soundtrack and a female soundtrack. The skipper could then choose the gender-appropriate soundtrack.

(Pardon me for sounding scattered. I was typing as I was thinking it out.)

Foreigners don't understand the humor aspect of the ride for the most part, and bring the attraction down.

No. No. 1000x no. A pre-recorded sound track will be the death of that attraction. Skipper participation with the guests is what makes the ride, and it's the reason a large majority of guests love it.

Plus, it's still one of the most popular rides in the park, so I don't think a change is necessary.
