I don't consider Treehouse to be in the same league as Jungle Cruise. It could be removed and the general public wouldn't even miss it. Not so with JC, which should remain in the realistic world.

If toons were to invade the JC, perhaps it would be done in a way similar to IASW: noticable, but not too flashy. These ideas have already been mentioned, but I'll list them again: CAMBODIAN SHRINE -Shere Khan replaces Bengal tiger GORILLA CAMP -Terk & company replace the gorillas; If no Terk, then this will be King Louie and his apes. ELEPHANT POOL -Tantor replaces waterfall elephant..."Little Squirt" replaced by Hathi Jr.; if no Tantor, then only Hathi Jr. will be featured -Hathi and Winifred replace bull elephant and mother-in-law AFRICAN VELDT -Mufasa, Sarabi, Nala and Simba replace pride of lions. Scar and his hyenas will be seen skulking nearby PIRAHNAS -Kaa replaces python in tree Given the fact that there are other "JC" animals in other movies (Hyancinth Hippo, Ben Ali Gator, etc.) they wouldn't be used for a jungle setting...

It might work, but that's a lot riskier approach, while adding toons would be a much safer bet.

Brace yourself for New Orleans Square's inevitable transformation into Princess and the Frog Land. :-O The cynic in me can't help but wonder if they chose to set the film in New Orleans just so they could finally have a solid toon tie-in for NoS. Not that it really seems to matter...
