Do yourself a big favor ... GO!!!

Give yourself a gift for the new job ... and GO!!!

And go without trying to compare DL to WDW because you won't likely be happy if you do.

Go to compare DL to the MK and don't whig out at the size of the castle ... there are more important things than size (I've been using that line for years!).

Go compare DCA to Disney-MGM Studios.

Go compare DD to ... well, DD.

    Just do it.

You're a smart woman (see how nice I can be?! ... look quickly, won't last!) ... I think you'll have a very different appreciation for WDW does right and what it doesn't when you've tasted the original.

    LOL!

DL is something I'm definitely considering for next summer. This summer's out because I'll be training, and we already have our long weekend trip booked for early December, but next summer looks like a winner. I've barely been on the Left Coast at all, anyway.

i think i would really like Animal Kingdom. didn't get to go there, i went instead to Disney-MGM. i wasn't that impressed wth the studios. Except for tower of terror, there wasn't anything interesting to me. if i had to do it again i would have gone to Animal Kingdom.
I enjoyed the Magic Kingdom, but having grown up at disneyland, the florida magic kingdom just seemed to be missing something. it just didn't have that feel that i get when i go to disneyland. for me the best part of the florida magic kingdom is the people mover and Mickey's philharmagic.
I found Carousel of Progress and the Hall of Presidents to be very boring and long. The rivers of America with just one craft circling the island is very boring. the biggest disappointment was small world. To me part of the atttraction of Small world is the facade, with the ticktock, and all the various windmills and propellers. At Disneyland it is just an impressive sight when you come upon it. Disney World didn't have that and the inside just felt really cramped.
with disney world's version i finally understood why some people hate this attraction so much. by the time it was over i hated it too. then a few months later i went on the disneyland version and all was good.

One of the happiest memories in my entire LIFE occurred at the MK, but I darn well know that DL is a better park. Love it, love it, love it! :D

Then it would have to be the MK as being the best.
