Give yourself a gift for the new job ... and GO!!! And go without trying to compare DL to WDW because you won't likely be happy if you do. Go to compare DL to the MK and don't whig out at the size of the castle ... there are more important things than size (I've been using that line for years!). Go compare DCA to Disney-MGM Studios. Go compare DD to ... well, DD. Just do it. You're a smart woman (see how nice I can be?! ... look quickly, won't last!) ... I think you'll have a very different appreciation for WDW does right and what it doesn't when you've tasted the original.

This summer's out because I'll be training, and we already have our long weekend trip booked for early December, but next summer looks like a winner. I've barely been on the Left Coast at all, anyway.

I found Carousel of Progress and the Hall of Presidents to be very boring and long. The rivers of America with just one craft circling the island is very boring. the biggest disappointment was small world. To me part of the atttraction of Small world is the facade, with the ticktock, and all the various windmills and propellers. At Disneyland it is just an impressive sight when you come upon it. Disney World didn't have that and the inside just felt really cramped. with disney world's version i finally understood why some people hate this attraction so much. by the time it was over i hated it too. then a few months later i went on the disneyland version and all was good.
