I got a tape of his one year as a kid (I still remember the case 'n evruhthang), and I got some more of his albums through the years---some stuff I admit is kinda "eh", but a lot of his stuff is GREAT! We can have a party where drink custard while listenin' to "The Streak", "Shriner's Convention", "Gitarzan", and more! Lol!

Boiled custard *and* Ray Stevens! Yeah!

Sorry for the delay in getting back with the results. I've been very busy this week after Christmas!!! A very fun time for me. You see, my son and his girlfriend were here and we . . . oh, wait, I'm supposed to tell you about Boiled Custard.

TDG ~ you are absolutely correct!!! Boiled Custard is awesome!!!!

And quite frankly, I believe that people who may not be that crazy about eggnog will definitely like boiled custard.

Personally, TDG, I don't think it is as strong as eggnog. It is very light and very, very good.

I mean, if you were going to spike something, this would be it!!!

So, your "mini slide show" was not in vain. It pointed out what everyone should know.

    Boiled Custard is awesome!!!

    Sincerely,

    trailsend

She just used her vanilla ice cream recipe added nutmeg and called it eggnog. It also made the best vanilla ice cream too! Like haggen daas! (sp)I can't believe they sell it in stores. I'll have to look out for it, I'm curious about the taste. :) I'll let you know if I can find it in any stores in WA. Thanks TDG!

LOL, love that Alaska! Alaska is why I learned that edible eggs sink and rotten eggs float. Blech.

BOILED CUSTARD IN 2006 BABY!!! (okay that doesn't really make sense, BUT I'M SO PUMPED!!)

Wendy, I'm sorry you can't find any there...that's so odd that apparently it's "regional"---I still have some though if you'll be flying by or visiting anytime soon. :) lol (I'm not sure how well mailing custard would go, lol)

    GO TRAILSEND!! *YEAH!!*

Now play some Ray Stevens and have a glass! LOL!

I'm sure it's regional. Just like Taylor Ham (aka pork roll) It's a tri-state thing, NY, NJ, PA, you just can't get it anywhere else. Boy do I miss it though. Luckily, it freezes well & occasionally some loving family members mail me out some. :D
