I figure the fact I'm not going to want an APA should just make me more popular with LS and RMM :)

Okay, time for a random post:

If this was still the 1970s, and all of us were in a DL variety special, fodd's segment would consist of he and his wife tap-dancing and waltzing on Main Street. I get the Gene Kelly/Fred Astaire vibe from you :)

I see I'm not the only one here who remembers 1978's "Christmas at Walt Disney World" :) Phyllis Diller (as the Fairy Godmother) and Avery Schreiber (as Geppetto) were in that as well.

I wonder what made them take the "let's bring stars" here angle for all related shows after Walt passed on?

The Christmas song medley at the end was cool, and it was one of the only times I've heard "Some Children See Him" used in a Christmas special.

Up until a few months ago, 1974's "Sandy in Disneyland" and 1980's "Kraft Salutes Disneyland's 25th Anniversary" were on YouTube.

I haven't seen them, but I recall a DL Xmas episode with Art Carney (or was it Red Skelton?) and ice-skaters on Main Street... I've also heard of the travesty that was Lucie Arnaz Introduces Space Mountain...

Art Carney doesn't have the X-mas spirit.

But, Sandy Duncan helps him find it.

    It also sucks.

What other celebs were in that special?

I also remember the Ernest Introduces Splash Mountain special... dang, I have a lot of oldschool DL specials on Beta and VHS...

    "Disneyland Presents Toy Story Mania!"

Starring Crazycroc, LadyStarlight and Shiva, with special guests The Jonas Brothers, Some Disney Channel Stars, Wallace Shawn and Don Rickles

Starlight, Shiva and Croc can't wait to ride Toy Story Midway Mania, but Starlight wants to get her Apple Pie Apple first! The trio make their way through both parks, running into random Disney Channel Stars, watching a performance by The Jonas Brothers and listening to a behind-the-scenes tour of the ride with Wallace Shawn and Don Rickles, before FINALLY finding an Apple Pie Apple vendor...RIGHT NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE OF TSMM!!

(cut to set-up/staged scenes with shiva, croc and LS "riding" TSMM...Starlight is still holding her APA, shiva holds onto his ears for dear life and croc laughs as he shoots stuff. Don and Wallace bicker through the entire ride)

We then also show the Jonases and Some Disney Channel Stars riding the attraction as well. They say things like "Woot!" and "Tubular!" and "Toyrific!"
