I've only met one celeb at the airport and that was Newt Gingrich. He was standing at the end of a customer service ramp at National Airport in DC and the sun was coming in the window behind him, so I didn't get a good look at him until I was nearly in front of him because the sun was in my eyes. When I realized it was him I kind of yelped, and he laughed a little and just said "Good Morning." At the time I was working for a kind of left wing civil liberties organization and it was kind of like running into the Boogieman!

I did see one right after I arrived in Los Angeles (c. 1990). David Faustino (Bud on Married With Children) was at the curb at LAX. I thought he looked vaguely familiar. Then I saw his name written on the duffel bag he was struggling with.

Most recently I was in Newark, returning home to Orange County. It was about a half hour to flight time, so I pulled out my souvenir program from Mary Poppins. A voice said, "So, you a Disney fan?" I looked over; it was Matt Ouimet, former President of Disneyland.
