Some of the negativity could also be attrubuted to the resistance to change many DL fans seem to have, but thats just my opinion As far as the CMs, I don't notice that the RDZ CMs are any more or less grumpy than the other food service CM's at DL. They are all grumpy, its a crappy job. Then again we usually go during the summer and get exposed to a lot of summer hires who don't seem to buy into the whole DL experience and are overwhelmed by the summer crowds.

In fact, I put hot sauce on my burrito, which made it taste even better to me! The burrito was way too big to finish. They serve up very generous portions in my humble opinion. One thing that I did want to mention was the kindness extended to us by the CM cashier. She looked at us and said, "Oh, I see you're Annual Passholders." I looked at her and indicated that I wish we were, but, in fact, we're not. She winked at me and wished us a very happy day. After we thanked her and wished her a great day as well, we looked at the receipt and noticed that we were given a discount. It's not the money we saved that touched me...it was her generosity of spirit that touched me so deeply. I'm sure she's not supposed to do that, but I will always remember her and the kindness she showered upon my husband and I that December day.

I don't find that "touching" at all. There is no true generosity in "giving away" that which is not yours to give.

The restaurants in Downtown Disney are OVERPRICED, period. Not impressed at all--food or service. Favorite meal at Disney is breakfast at Carnation Cafe--price and serving sizes are fair and the food is good. I am not a coffee drinker except on vacation, only for breakfast and only at Disneyland so that says something about their coffee. ;-)

At worst, she violated policy...but on the other hand, there might be some leeway allowed. Any park employees wish to weigh in regarding the rules?

It isn't yours to give! I understand the feelings involved on both sides, but I reject the idea that feelings determine what is right and what is wrong. I also profusely admit that I struggle all the day long with right/wrong decisions. I just think this is a clear-cut issue--wrong to "gift" a discount. That's one poster's opinion.
