Yeah some people here might know the law, but how long has it been since you had to jockey a cash register while dealing with impatient customers?

I loved setting up ropes and driving monorails and starting little cars and directing traffic and re-setting TSI. I loved it when I was a prep cook, when I was a server, when I was a clerk in a candy store, and even when I was peeling potatoes for my grandparents' cafe at minimum wage (though I didn't like the smoking much). I loved picking up 500 pounds of ice at Smart and Final for wedding receptions, and setting up hundreds of place settings, and restocking the salad bar. I enjoyed delivering newspapers, teaching review lectures, grabbing costumes off the rack, and even washing dishes.

But the law? Not always very satisfying. Sigh. In truth, however, the only job I ever truly hated was being a custodian, and it was for two reasons: (1) the shift began at 4:00 a.m. daily; (2) I spent the entire shift alone in total silence. Didn't like that.

I appreciate your cool head. Lord knows how many petty spats I've been in online because someone read my meaning sideways.
