The back story works very well. It just doesn't work with the rest of the park. It's kind of like camp Minnie Mickey. It serves absolutely no purpose, other than filling up space, because Disney was to cheap to launch Beastly Kingdom.

You have the village of Harambe, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Expedition Everest, and Chester, and Hesters. Tell me which one of those sticks out like a very sore thumb. I don't care how hard it was to imagineer a fake parking lot.

And sometimes I wonder if I'm being to hard on Dinorama, and then my mom, who likes basically everything at Disney says, "That place is so dumb. I liked it better when it wasn't there."

    And then I feel vindicated.

Nothing should be a bigger issue than losing your soul by destroying a vision like DAK. You do that by turning a section of it into a cheap looking carnival. I,m waiting for them to add a tent with a freak show inside.

Just like letting River Country go to seed, rather than putting an effort into maintaining it. Even if it was to be nothing more than a swimming hole for Fort Wilderness. It seems like cheap trumps show every time.

I do. It's a requirement for a Disney Park, IMHO.

You're the only person I've ever heard say that.

It's not for DAK, IMO. The parade may have worked, but not a big show.

Nope...not for me. Every park needs some sort of synthesis, some BIG bang to leave you with a impression as you leave it. DAK doesn't have that.

What could do that for DAK? Nothing that's plausible.

They could easily do a show on DAK's themes. Or a parade.

I did? Maybe I thought you were referring to the abomination that rolls through DAK at around 3:00.
