Trouble happens when people go directly to the govt when they need help - and when they don't. I have a friend with a big beautiful home, a good job (now), and moderate health. Yet, he's still on the WIC program, getting free milk and bread and stuff. He doesn't need the govt to pay for that!!

There's no question the system gets abused. And that's one thing that can be said over and over about the Mormon Church: they take care of their own and do a lot good for non-members. The church structure is quite amazing - even more so when you step outside and view the lack of structure firsthand in other churches.
