First off, I identify with Stitch as I'm severe ADHD with Impulsivity. The "Alien" among us, who just didn't get it at times, and was always trying to fit in.

Also, I teach Special Ed (those of you that know me, know I post on another board as AlohaStitch..that board just wouldn't accept this name). Anyways, my Kids are also like Stitch, in that others (especially other teachers) look at them (and me too) as something total Alien. We practice Ohana and Stitch is our mascot. (Even to the Badness Level Chart- drawn like in the film) so they can monitor their behaviors themselves. When I do my circuit lectures, I refer to Stitch constantly, and point out that if you want to know what Stitch would look/be like as a human..here you are! :)

My sister and I both work with a lot of Foster Kids too...so again, the Ohana thing.

Stitch has touched me like no other Disney Character before...he has his moments, but inside all he wants is to be loved and accepted. But he has a GREAT time just loving and living life!

So..Absolutely Postively Completely Stitch all the way! LOL

(Before Stitch, I did love (and still do) Scar from Lion King, which was strange because I have never ever been drawn to villans. During one of my Master's Classes in Deviant Behaviors.. I mentioned that I really liked Scar..even the teacher stopped and said.."Kim, thats... thats.. thats... just SICK!" ROFL!!!!

I was just sitting here trying to think of WHY I love her so much, and I guess it's because of what she symbolizes.

I grew up fairly poor (although we always had a warm home, decent clothes, and good food to eat), but my mother spent her entire life SETTLING. It seemed like she never thought she deserved more than what she got, you know? My dad was out of work constantly (by choice), she never had any of the niceties in life, never felt pampered or spoiled, or even... comfortable, really. Everything was a struggle and a challenge.

From the time I was VERY young, I decided I couldn't live my whole life like that. I would do whatever I had to do to have a really fulfilling life. It doesn't mean I've had it easy (ha--not by a long shot!), but I've had a really positive outlook and BELIEVED I deserved good things in life. I swear that's 1/2 the battle. I have had a better & happier life than anyone else in my family, and I think it's because I wasn't afraid to dream and set high standards for myself.

Anyway, I guess that's why I love Cinderella so much; she always represented what I wanted to be. Someone who went from a less than ideal situation to a magical one--who wasn't afraid to dream, or realize she deserved something better.

Dorry from Nemo: who doesnt love Dory? "Are you my conscience?"
