I guess we didn't get that memo in Chicago ....did this come from the Vatican ? Really if it is from Catholic Digest or something like that then you have to understand they used to rate everything ecept Lassie Come Home as questionable - not sure anyone I know ( and most are Catholic) ever let that guide their moviegoing

--- Spirit - you need to separate the 'church's beliefs' from the misdoings of some of it's leaders..just as you do with our country.
Nowhere in Catholic teaching does it recommend the abuses that have taken place. Do I get pissed over these occurances and the coverups that were done- you bet - couldn't be more wrong...but let's allow those good priests and leaders to have their opinions also.

I intercepted it. Apparently they faxed it to all Catholic Churches.

I wonder if they'll take credit for it's poor opening.

A quick looksie on google shows that this is a tiny pro-life lay ministry based in Nebraska. It's not an official branch of the Church. I could go out and start something like this today and wouldn't need anyone's permission to do so.

Anyway just to keep things in perspective.

There are zillions of unofficial lay ministries. One thing you will notice is that they do not use the word "Catholic" in their titles. They would need the local Bishop's permission to do that, and are unlikely to get it. Hence the quaint names like "Servants of the Heart of the Father."

Maybe the Pope will consult you in the future when he offers up a Papal decree.

    I stand corrected.

But are these "marching orders"? Or just informational stuff like, "Fr. Joe Smith has been assigned to St. Patrick's parish"?

I'm open to becoming a Papal consultant, but it will cost them seven figures to hire me.

That's a bunch of 0's. I don't think that gig pays that much.
