FWIW, I also feel he represents my feelings as to why there are many negative posts. And I'm sorry to hear you twisted your ankle in one of those potholes at DLP. But it could have been worse, at least you weren't served a steak that someone else had taken a few bites of and then returned to the kitchen in one of their finer dining locales. As to this point: <<I think your point of DL vs. WDW experiences are interesting. I think people love the park they first experienced. With the exception of my DW - she went to DLP, MK and DL in that order and DL is her fav (although I could have been a key influence). But I think people who grow up with MK perfer it to DL and visa versa. Stands to reason really.>> I grew up in Florida and have been an APers since I was a kid. I never had ANY complaints in the 70s or 80s. And only a few into the 90s. But when WDW mushroomed as a resort in the mid-90s, quality took a nosedive and there's not one trip that I don't notice a few things out of sorts. I didn't go to DL until I was an adult. But, as a park, I think it (and DLP) blows away the MK in every aspect. You can't compare a resort though to an urban park.

Im really disgusted by it. This happens nearly EVERY TIME something positive is posted. You may not agree with the statement, and youre entitled to say so, but to try to make the other person feel bad about thinking positively is ridiculous. It happens WAY TOO OFTEN here and it seems like it will never stop.

Oh absolutely, however it was a gentle reminder. Those of us engaged in business understand the impact of business. Those who are not, may not.

Originally Posted By davewasbaloo "It happens WAY TOO OFTEN here and it seems like it will never stop." Ok, I agree that it should never get personal. However, anything that someone is passionate about - Love/Hate will elicit emotional responses. All of us share a love for Disney. If we did not, we would not be here. LP is like one big happy family. And like every family, we have our disagreements. Sometimes, our common bond continue to hold us together, and at other times a rift grows. Again, it's called being human, and exibiting free will while being bound by a common purpose - to worship the mouse ;-)

Go to a thread I started about guessing photos and see how I was told to lay off TDLFAN by one of his buddies, and I WAS TOLD I WAS BEING RUDE... see some people here think they can say anything they want.. and when you give it back to them a little as I did to TDLFAN I was told I WAS RUDE... but his little pit bull buddy has never said a word to him when he has belittled others with nasty hurtful remarks... go read... nice to be a hipocrtite... so now I will get thrown off for my comment to her.. oh well its no fun anymore on here...

Again if you view most of my almost 1000 posts, most are positive -- there are items I cannot be positive about : playground / maintenance cuts / less shows and performers etc... and will not..but that doesn't make me a bad guy or a Disney hater...quite the opposite. If I ever get personal in a response to you-- let me have it....as I would deserve it.

I think that often intelligent posts (that tend to be longer because they are well thought out) can get lost in an emotional thread like this one. All I know is I will continue to love TWDC and its parks, but I'll also continue to point out when things aren't done right and will continue to bash inept management and Imagineers when the need arises. I also likely will post more negative posts than positive ones on the WDW board because there are more than enough posters here who will gush over everything WDW-related. I think a healthy dose of reality is needed.

Very good way to handle things, my fried. No wonder you & TDLFAN get along, too.
