It is very hard to get back stage and stay there. It was probably a CM that was walking by on his/her way to their shift and saw the new sled and took a picture. Yes, Disney does say not to do that, but it doesn't violate LP rules because they were not sneaking around, or trying to get backstage.

Disneyland is a job and it is a uniform. Its not a broadway show. Its a theme park just like all the others. These are not costumes, they are uniforms. It just seems like everyone is trying to protect this imaginery disney magic>>>> You may not have been on here to sell anything, but maybe you were trying to draw attention to your sales on eBay. Buying or selling stolen Disney property is against the law. The fact that you created two seperate threads to ask about buying costumes is a little suspicious. Another new member, registered when you did, came on here to defend you with their very first posts. Again, this is rather unusual.

Im not that other person, I have never worked for disney and I dont even live near the parks. I was just simply asking some questions. Once again I do not have any ebay sales! In regards to the uniform....people on here are protecting this disney image that they are costumes, they are not costumes, they are uniforms just like what someone wears at mcdonalds!!

Each COSTUME fits the scene that the CAST MEMBER is working in. Disney owns the clothes cast members wear and they decide to call them costumes, so thats what they are. And also, you can't compare the costumes cast members wear to the uniforms employees wear at McDonalds. They are two completely different companies.

We know Disney isn't perfect, but this is not a Disney bashing site! Trying to say that the cast members are not wearing costumes is argumentative, and actually submarine-maniac is right- they are costumes. I don't understand WHY you are trying to start the threads that you have.

In any case, it's just Disney corporate speak anyway. They're not "cast members", they're "employees". Cast Members in the true sense refers to entertainers (singers, dancers, actors, musicians etc...) in a show or performance group. Reminds me of a funny story, I was chatting with a colleague back when I used to work at WDW and I mentioned wanting to try and contact an old friend who was a CAST MEMBER of the Lion King in New York (she was performing the role of Rafiki). She thought for a second, and then said "I'm not sure if they call them as cast members up there". lol. Anyway, it is an employee uniform, same as McDonalds. Would you say that the chef working in the back in a regular chef uniform is a "cast member" wearing a "costume". Sure, you can SAY it, but the reality is that he's doing the same work and wearing the same threads as if he were in any other kitchen in any other restaurant around the world.
