While WDSP didn't look like a traditional Disney park, it was.is more traditional in the entertainment stakes than it's prettier neighbour. But most web fans missed that as they ran from attraction to attraction and out in 2 hours.

Just an fyi (not dissin that show at all, just pointing out it wasn't the same style of music or from the same roots). So, as per my original statement, the Paris resort IS the only one that never featured a Jammitors/Trash Can Trio show based on the original show at Disneyland fwiw. (sorry, I'm a little touchy on that one, since Tom was my teacher...and a percussion genius in my eyes, the guy is incredible)

Stick tricks and fast hands and visual effects in percussion have their place to, as part of the overall entertainment package. But I agree, if it ain't groovin and jammin and sounding like MUSIC, it's all frosting and no cake. By the way, I think you'd be surprised to know that you are dead wrong on your assumption that Trash Can Trio is a rip off of Stomp (or whatever their roots happened to be). In fact, Stomp approached Disney to complain about the Trash Can Trio ripping them off, but were quickly silenced when Mr. Tom Float (5 time DCI high percussion winner and master of all things percussion), the originator of the Trash Can Trio, trotted out his copy written material which was composed and conceived of LONG before those Brits (invented around the time he was in College and a regular Disneyland cast member and performer, in the early 1970's). So, to be "intellectually honest" about it, THEY ripped HIM off.

Whilst I appreciate (and often state) that the parks are not museums MV4D was the last thing Jim Henson directed before his death and as such I'd like to see it preserved somewhere (a DVD would be nice too). I'm hoping for a more muppety presence at WDSP at some point. I liked PhilharMagic and think that it is an attraction that lends itself to cloning due to it's universal theme. I gather any plans to install it at WDSP are dead in the water as well!!!
