Why does Disney keep raising ticket prices??

    It's been said several times in the thread already, but the raise the prices because they can. They keep raising prices because they keep selling tickets, even at higher rates. You pay what the market bares.

    This is not greedy, it is the RESPONSIBILITY for a corporation to generate as much revenue and profit as possible. This is the fiduciary responsibility to the shareholders. The task of providing MAXIMUM profits to the shareholders is the primary purpose of a corporation.

    Now, does this mean they can keep raising prices forever? No, eventually they will reach that "tipping point" where more and more people will not pay the admission price and find an alternative. Disney obviously has not found that tipping point yet.

    Except they aren't selling tickets at the higher rates. Discount programs are abundant and the number of tickets being sold at the higher rates is declining in comparison to the promotional rates.

Everyone and their brother has an annual pass and the parks are crowded beyond control. It's miserable. I would rather save up and pay more to go to a less crowded park.

    so that they will never be closed out from coming the the Most HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH, because of financial restraint, yes my Friend's, some folks are very Greedy in Corporations, while most are not....we have always had such a great time....people do look for that elusive deal that comes around from time to time...hope you all find it , if you do, please share it...with all that come to this Magical Place...Mr Snappy...thanks for your insight it does shed some light onto just how high will Disney go, will they start offering family passes, ect....to gather the crowds in, might be a very interesting concept for all families and families in need ....
