Just run it slower - slower, more durable - it would have made it a cooler version of the peoplemover. The could have towed a train behind it to make it a new peoplemover. But then, if they kept it, we wouldn't have Buzz Lightyear. Or wouldn't have needed it.

RSR will be just like Tower of Terror was like when it came to DCA - perfected. The WDW TT breaks down all the time because of early technology (same story with the yeti on Expedition Everest) When it came to DCA they knew the problems that WDW had and fixed them. Indiana Jones uses a similar system (and in some ways more complex system) than RSR will. Designers have had RR, Test Track and Indi to perfect the car. The only worry should be is it going to be A) a speed ride, B) something like test track where it is a story with bursts of speed or C) something like Indi with bursts of high speed. (I want to know, what is High Speed to Disney? Sreamin seems to be there cap on speed so a high speed ride I think 50-60+ MPH Disney that may be 30-40MPH or about the top speed of Thunder Mountain at Disneyland)

They've been designing AA's for decades, and they knew exactly what they were doing and how much force it would create (the thrust of a 747!). They just had construction issues that led to a bad foundation (either by design or construction method), that simply could not withstand the forces being placed upon it, causing it to crack. Old technology has problems too, apparently. "Sreamin seems to be there cap on speed so a high speed ride I think 50-60+ MPH" Test Track goes 63mph, and I believe that the max speed on Screamin' 55mph. I suspect that RSR will be less than either of those because of all the tight turns, which makes it difficult to speed up and sustain the high speeds. The fastest parts on both TT and Screamin' are long straightaways, which it doesn't look like RSR will have. I would assume that somewhere in the 30-40mph range would be reasonable for RSR, and with the theming closer to the track than Screamin' or TT, it will feel just as fast.
