And you both work there? It's one thing to know these things as a fan, but it's everything to know it as an employee.

Nobody can be that unbelievably stupid.

Even like Iger, who, I must say does a pretty good job of PR.... But then again, he's used to the camera, no? I can't say I've had more than casual contact with Ms. Wallace, but she comes off as someone who couldn't be honest and genuine if her life depended upon it. It's all about sticking to the script (even if it's a poorly written one) and being on message and 'ON' all the time when on stage/in the public eye.

I often hear CMs giving out bad/incorrect information/advice to guests and wait and then tell the guests the right info and hope for their sakes that they believe a kind Spirit over a clueless CM. Disney is partly to blame in the way it hires and staffs locales (at one point you could do into a shop at the MK and a CM who worked there in 1977 was there in 1989 or a favorite waiter at the Poly in 1974 was still there in 1992 ... but that was before Disney became the monster that ate Central FLA and now if someone has worked in a location for more than a year, it's a big deal) ... training is also an issue as is severly limiting the operating info it even gives CMs working front-line. But some is personal responsibility as well. You have a job and are working with the public, then you damn well should know the basics or know how to find out the answers if you don't.

No excuses for that kind of ignorance.

I remember when I was at DAK and the construction walls were up for Chester and Hester's and I overhead some guests asking a CM what they were building in there. He ACTUALLY told them it was Beastly Kingdom and ran through all the rides and attractions going in. After they left him I actually followed after them and advised them it was all completely untrue. I did not want them planning another holiday in twelve months to see this wonderful new addition, only to be HUGELY disappointed. I don't know whether the CM was just joking or whether he had heard that and was just passing it on. Either way, it was sad I had to put it right for guests when that is the CM's job.

Or a good speaker, more realistically. And if she was just "Sticking to the Script", then, who the hell is writing those? Half of the things were wrong!
