As I understand it, he objected to the original track, which would mean absolutely nothing to probably 70% of today's viewers of the show. I've heard that they still have the theme in, but rearranged to be a bit more contemporary, so that it will both serve as the them for the show AND tweak those of us old enough to remember the original. Sounds pretty sharp to me . . .

The sound clip is what inspires the whole show, is a excellent throwback to the original generation to Disney fans, and acknowledges the company's long and celebrated History. It won't date a thing or alienate anyone. In fact, it will bring them in...nostalgia is exactly what Disney markets and ignoring this, and their subsiquent history, is a stupid mistake.

As it should be. It has to be used to have the show up to date. What could be possibly wrong with that? Idiot teenagers are going to be turned off by THAT? They can deal with the 35 secs. The rest of the 30 min show will be spectacular.
