But that doesn't mean there still isn't a lot of good in the parks and on the rest of property. It's just that we here know how much better it COULD be than it still is. But it is no longer run by a man with a vision, or his direct descendants who were infected with his vision. Today is is simply a corporate product with all that entails. Unless one of us LPer's inherits Jobs or Gates fortune and buys the WDC, that will always be the state of affairs.

And I could also spend a day in the MK, looking for overflowing trashcans and dirty bathrooms and cranky CM's on their cell phones or non-working effects in attractions, and I'd end my day sad and jaded. But my time in the parks is so limited that it's simply not worth it to me to look at it all that way. I'll see something that isn't right, lament it for all of 2 seconds, and get right back to enjoying the place.

On a cruise people are looking to relax, where-as at WDW people are going commando on a theme park, and tend to take their frustrations out on CMs, which tends to affect them. I know, I know. it's the CMs' jobs to deal with people like that but sometimes after a full day of getting screamed at it wears you down.

And TDS is an amazing park. Anyone with eyes can see that ... but not everyone can go. But plenty of folks can go to Anaheim or Paris or Tokyo to see how Disney operates elsewhere and they instead just keep returning to WDW ... that I find a little odd.

Like if you are pushing a heavy cart up the hill and they stop you to ask for directions (yes they have the right) but its hard on our backs to stop like that. So towards the end I would have good days and bad days and I truely think that is what happens at WDW (the cms have good days and bad days on bad days they tend to ignore the guest hey they are only human)

I spoke to a cast member from long ago and they say they spend much less time now training their CM's. It's still the most magical place on earth and the most looked forward to vacation my family ever takes!

Yes, they're cutting costs on cm training, but friendliness is something I believe can't be tought, and if you're working in any disney park, friendliness is a given and I believe all of the cm's I've encountered have done a beautiful job
