It's not that I would be talking to people all the time, but rather using it as a way to make sure our group can stay together. If someone gets lost, we no longer have to use the "Meet in front of the castle" routine, we just call eachother. If we're in different places, and it takes longer than expected to get back together, we just call and let people know. I can definately see why it would be nice to get away from the every-day calls that plague so many phones, but I still think there is a very real need to carry a cell phone, especially in a place as large and as crowded as WDW.

It was also good to use as an alarm clock to get me to reservations on time. If I went by memory alone, I'd have been an hour late for 1900 Park Fare. My boss called twice, but I ignored those calls.

It may be just the DVC resorts, but I think it's probably ALL resorts. Anyway at the DVC Resorts there is free wi-ft access around the swimming pool areas. At the DVC Hilton Head there is free Wi-Fi at the pool and you can easily use it at the 6 or so buildings that are on the perimeter of the pool from inside your room. The ethernet access (it is not wireless but the ethernet cable is neatly stored in the coat cloest in a bag) is available for $9.99 per 24 hour period. I think as to why the wi-fi is not in each room is sort of part of the policy of "why give something free that people will gladly pay for?" which seems sadly to dominate the World these days.

Cop shows / private eyes and westerns ruled the roost and a few great sitcoms -- Our Miss Brooks / I Love Lucy / My Little Margie / I Married Joan and my all time fave - Leave it to Beaver
