No problem against that kind of thing since I know we'll end up with a decent attraction to enjoy at the park. But to use the Toon concept to try and hide the short - comings of boring and lame carnival rides I'm a bit more against. Although Flik's Fun Fair and Silly Symphony Swings are exceptions. I guess I'm still a bit bitter over the whole Toy Story Playland experience. I can't believe that pile of crap is fast approuching its first Birthday.

Being a former Tomorrowland Flying Saucer skipper myself, I can say with great certainty that the popularity for Luigis will go through the roof.

I've seen just one short video of testing for the new version. They are definitely different than the old saucers (they fit two, for one thing, which should help with capacity), but anyone who fondly remembers the old saucers (or who has saucer envy like me) will undoubtedly want to ride the tires. I thought as soon as they announced them that they'd be the sleeper hit of Carsland.

Make time to go on to Youtube and type in Farting Saucers. It is amazing how squirrly that the were when in operation.

I still don't get how cars can be action heroes of any kind, they are big ,clunk, and obvious and not felxable at all , and cant really do stunts we expect of action films.

Sure, just like Herbie Goes Monte Carlo didn't work for me.

But don't confuse movie ratings with how well a movie based attraction will be recieved. It's not like everyone in the park will walk up to Cars Land and then turn away because they read a poor film review.

Placing guests into a film setting, of sorts, tends to transcend any film's poor reviews or lackluster box office. It should take on a life of its own right out of the gate.

See, that means there is still hope for me building my themepark concept based on the zaniest comedy film of all time, Paint Your Wagon.

Lee Marvin with his Basso Profundo rendition of Wandering Star is stellar.

But Horton, "the father of our country", learning about whiskey, cigars and women is even more stellar.

Good thing it's grossed $400 million then. Add in merchandising, DVD sales...

"I love the whole James Bond vibe. It was impressive how global and inclusive of other cultures this film ended up to be. I laughed my ass off at the japanese bathroom sequence. The italian village scene was adorable too. The queen's palace in London, the interpretation of Monaco and so on."

I loved all this about the movie. I don't think in the end the movie quite worked, but there was some good stuff there.

I think I would've preferred dumping the original characters (Mater's not a great choice to drive a movie) and just done a straight spy spoof (one that was less predictable than what we got).

"To go back to the original topic of discussion."

Must we? See that sludge on the road? It used to be a dead horse, but it's been beaten so much, you can't even tell it was an animal at one time.
