To me it seems like a waste, and the walkway seems temporary so I can't figure out why it's there. plus the rest of the farm area seems lacking to as eccpet for the far left area there is nothing to do
Originally Posted By FerretAfros "...neither area is getting construction done so they don't need to be bypassed with a new walkway." HPB is currently undergoing the initial stages of the Red Car construction. There are a couple places where there are walls set up on the main paths so they can lay the tracks. Right now it doesn't look like it's too big of an issue (they are keeping each area pretty small), but it could be more difficult later in the construction process when they start to connect the various sections, and the crowds get bigger. I think the walkway is also being put in as a preemtive strike against the problems they are anticipating with the main entrance construction. They will likely have a fairly narrow path from the Golden State area to HPB (if there is a path at all), due to the construction, so having an alternate route will help ease traffic problems. As nice as it is now, I believe the real purpose of it is to serve the crowds that will appear later. They just wanted to have it open before the problems got out of hand.

They need to either get rid of the land altogether or increse the rides length. Personally I think they should tear out the land and use the space to build an indoor theme kid land themed to playhouse disney and then also build the great movie ride on a new street with some new shops and resturants. Hoenstly TGMR really belongs in DCA the ride is a tribute to the mvoies of hollywood just like HPB is and its a perfect fit and it should come to DCA soon.

The area is highly detailed and well themed, but none of that can overcome how lame the attractions are. With all the new stuff suitable for kids coming to DCA Flik's should be fair game for demolition in my opinion. Toontown is far better in my opinion.

A couple of good moments, but for being "the" E-ticket when D-MGM opened, it's always disappointed me. I also agree that FFF could be jettisoned come 2012. I doubt they will, but I hope they do. Consider it a "placeholder" they needed early in the decade that they don't need anymore.

I mean even kids get bored on that thing. I tend to not like when Disney has a ride that you could ride any old place you go. Like the Golden Zephyr, there is nothing special about that ride doesn't hold much appeal to me when I go there. Doesn't have the extra touch Disney usually puts on its attractions that make them stand out, like Splash Mountain for example. That is an example of a great ride taken to the next level with it's theme.
