The Matterhorn always looked pretty good as a backdrop for FaL. Not as good as today, but even with the "tournament tent" FaL it still worked (it was still a Euro look, if not as charming as today), and of course it always looked great if you were on SLCB looking at the Pinocchio Alps with the Matterhorn behind them.

So does the 1959 attraction poster, and that never changed. The 60's guidebooks said TL for some reason (maybe to up the attraction count in the books for TL, who knows), but it was always "really" in FaL, which makes more sense since it's Euro, and has nothing to do with the future, at a time when they cared about that for TL.

And of course it was never thematically related to "tomorrow" and at least was European. Why they were of "two minds" about it in the official materials is a strange question. But it was NEVER placed "only" in TL in the official materials.

Depending on how that space gets laid out, there could be a very long ride woven through there. With that said, I'm still not convinced that there's enough pysical room on that plot of land for them to effectively build a 2-story attraction. Getting up or down a floor would require a rather long ramp, and it would be really tough to work it into the story of the attraction so that it didn't just look like a ramp/hill. The Golden Afternoon room in Alice and the hill into the graveyard in the Haunted Mansion are both painfully functional, to the point that it's pretty obvious to the riders. Given how much space two ramps (up and down) would take up on that plot of land, I'm not convinced that they would have enough room between them to tell the story like they want to.

Is this really a problem? I've been riding both since I was a kid, and while it's pretty obvious that we were moving up or down, it never took me out of the ride.

I hope they work something like that out, as it would make for a very nice length ride, but I also wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't do it.
