Every attraction doesn't have to be a D or E full of AA's. This simple little show was done very well, and perfectly fit the theme of the pavilion. Those that don't like it don't have to watch. I always tried to catch it - I thought it was very well done. As to the theme of this thread, I'd have to throw in all three of the Journey versions. Of course the first one was far superior to the other two, but even back then I can remember getting off the attraction the first time and going "what was that?" I came to enjoy it a bit more, but it always seemed like a lot of work for a very strange story.

For the record, I would just like to point out that it is still a part of the attraction, just moved to the other side of the track. Where it was one a big focal point of the room, that has now turned into the "seeing test" with Figment getting in the way of what could otherwise be a really fun scene. The projection is a little too obvious for me (I don't know how they do the attic portraits in the Haunted Mansion, but that is done without looking like it's fake), so it just doesn't work. Then after you see that, you make a U-turn in the other direction around the exact same cage. Sure, it's not as bad, since it's not the only thing to look at, but it's still there. When I first rode the second version, I was at the back end of the train, and it was neat to see people's reactions as they saw it before we knew what it was. Sure, we all knew exactly how it worked, but it was still a neat little trick. No less of a "dumb trick" (or far from the "cutting edge effects") than the Pepper's Ghost ballroom in the Haunted Mansion. They are both really easy tricks to do, but when done correctly, they have fun effects. On a totally unrelated note, it's interesting to see that the various Imagination rides and the Haunted Mansion seem to have a lot in common.

I liked having a pavilion devoted to health, and I'd stop for the Goofy film when there. I guess I'm dumb too!

Come to think of it, thats what they did with the Fantasyland Skyway terminal.

By keeping the ride moving through there, the old fashioned trick really didn't feel like it was supposed to be a huge show scene like it does now. It was just another sight along the trip, where it is now more of a destination.
