It is currently in rehearsals at TDS. <<After having seen several of Steve Davison's concepts and being impressed, I have to say they ALWAYS change in final form.>> To a degree but the boats had to be made a long way in advance so the show hasn't changed that much since the start of the year.

Tourists don't seem to mind there being no shows at MK. I wish there was at least one decent show at MK but then DL's Snow Whte is pretty dire and TDL's One Man's Dream II and Minnie O Minnie aren't much better. DLP and HKDL's shows are excellent but overall it is a mixed bag as far as the Magic Kingdoms go.>> I wish there were more than one decent show at all of WDW. Only LK at DAK would qualify ... and it comes off amateurish when compared to DLP's Lion King show. It's all part and parcel of a dumbing down of the product. Sure, the tourists are happy with the castle drivel for their princesses. And the character greets too. But that's because of years of Disney conditioning them to accept less. It worked!!! Bonus time!!! Let's cut that entertainment budget to nothing. No union jobs when you can get CP kids. No contracts. No live shows of quality. Empty stages. A western saloon turned into a foamhead greeting area. Rest assured, if Disney thought it could get away with it elsewhere they would, but WDW is the perfect environment due to the makeup of its guests. The shows in Paris are very high quality, but they can't be cheap to put on every day.

(pause) Anyway, what I wanted to also say is the one of the biggest mistakes Disney World makes is when they hang on to a particular stage show way too long and it goes stale. Much as I enjoyed Cinderlla's Surprise Celebration, I would never want it to come back again. It's had it's 3 or 4 years of fame and needs to just rest in pieces at this point...

Lowest common denominator prevais in O-Town. The scary thing is I've heard Disney wants to export the Florida entertainment model to the other resorts. They already are starting by sending the Disney-MGM parade to DSP next year when they should be sending it to MouseSurplus!

Are you suggesting that the owner of TDR has no say whatsoever over the level of entertainment being offered? Nonsense. Disney has no input whatsoever in the entertainment being offered. Streetmosphere is determined locally and Disney only have to sign off to say it is appropriate for a Disney theme park. OLC are cutting back as they aren't getting the bodies in the parks they expected and guest spend isn't performing to budget.

Great production quality on Cindybration! I hate to admit it, but I kinda enjoy the show - must be the little girl in me who still wants to grow up & be a princess.
