William is suffering the same emotional problems that a lot of soldiers suffer after war, any war. It's not a political discussion about the war, because as some of the posters said, their Dad's felt the same way after WWII. Which was a war fought to defend our country.

This is why this war is so messed up. They wanted to invade Iraq, no matter what, while the real criminals got away in Afghanistan and Iran. We should have invaded Iran, and no one would have said a thing, because they are a terrorist sponsoring nation.

Thats not what you meant and the rest of your post was even worse and full of false statements that have been taken apart in the last two years. But now that you want to push the My Lai deal on our Marines today we know all we need to know about where you stand.

Then why are we in Iraq? The soldiers will tell you that they are in Iraq to protect our country and to fight terrorism. Why would you say they are wrong?

In any case, about the topic, when my father came back from WWII, he said he had to sleep balled up under his bead for months. Any loud noises made him jump out of his skin. These guys just sucked it up. There was no help for them.

    They were a tough generation.

Multiply that many-fold for people who have been in actual combat. Not all, of course - everyone will react differently - but plenty. Doesn't make them weak, it just makes them human - and we have thousands of these humans coming back, and reports of cuts in mental health benefits for veterans, who have to wait months for it in many cases... that's a whole OTHER topic, I guess.

Do you have any proof of this?

The military gets much more than they used to under the Bush administration. It's why 75% of them voted for him and not Kerry.

    Of course, Beau.

As so often, your ideology makes you ASSUME that Bush must be doing better by our veterans than previous administrations, but it's just not true.

The question is, are you going to find a way to spin it or excuse it, or are you actually going to let it make you think?

75% voted against gay marriage... just wanted to throw that one in.
